Some more photos of our trip to Co. Mayo a few weeks ago. These were taken in Cong. You can probably tell from the amount of photos I have taken (and these are only some of them!) that I loved the place. It is really quaint and peaceful, even though the links with the Quiet Man film attracts many visitors from across the world
If you've never visited Cong before, it's well worth putting on your list of places to check out :)
The River Cong which flows from the village to the lake at Ashford Castle.
Statue of John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara from the Quiet Man which was filmed in Cong in 1952.
Monks' fishing house
Mosaic in the woods
