Merry Christmas - Tonic Studios

The Tonic Studios Cinnamon Wreath die makes a lovely centrepiece for a larger card. I've die cut it from gold card and used the Marry Christmas die in the centre.

Mariposa - new papers from Trimcraft

Trimcraft have not one, but two new paper pad designs coming! I've loved their papers for many years and always look forward to the new releases. I really love the Mariposa pads (above) and have done some fussy cutting from the floral pages to create this card. Keep an eye out for the Forever Free paper pads too :)

I've coloured the Dovecraft "Bird" stamp with Promarkers and added some Crystal Glitter Glue.

Noel - Trimcraft "All that Glistens" paper

One more Christmas card this morning before I go. For this one I used the beautiful Trimcraft "All that Glistens" paper pad with the First Edition "Build a Scene - Festive Street " in the background and the "Build a Scene- Log Cabin" in the foreground with Noel from the Traditional Christmas Sentiments die set (FEDIE254x18)
I do love the black, white and shiny gold combination
I've used quite a bit of Dovecraft Gold Glitter Glue on the little house and snow peaks.

Jolly Holidays layered aperture card

Have you seen the Jolly Holidays paper pad from Trimcraft? I've used the papers from it along with a street lamp die from the First Edition "Build a Scene - Festive Street" die set on a Dovecraft aperture card to make this layered Christmas card.

I cut out the elements from the paper pad and decoupaged some of them to give a layered effect and added some Simply Creative 3mm gold gems in the lamps .

Cardmaking and Papercraft issue 188 (November 2018)

Time for me to put the kettle on
My latest issue of Cardmaking & Papercraft Magazine has just arrived and once again, I'm so happy to see how my cards have been displayed in the magazine. I was asked to make 3 different "pull up" cards for the Masterclass feature. I'm sure you've seen this type of card around lately...well, I have made 3 different ones for Christmas, including a Christmas tree shaped card, all using the TrimcraftPerfect Christmas papers. All the photo instructions are there to show you how to make your own
This issue is really full of fab card making projects and I can't wait to read it. The free gift is a super quality Luxury Card collection from Hunkydory

Merry and Bright - Trimcraft

It's definitely Autumn out there this morning. I went out without a coat and really felt the nip in the air 🍁
I thought I'd just show you another Christmas card I had made. Maybe it's not quite ready for snow but ....
I've used the Trimcraft Christmas Characters dies (FEDIE258X18) with Perfect Christmas papers

Trimcraft's 6x6 "Post Box " Craft a Card die

Good morning  I've made quite a few cards with the Trimcraft Christmas Craft a Card dies and they are perfect for the times when you want an impressive card but don't have lots of time. This is a 6x6 die which cuts out all the detail in one die. I've used it on an 8x8 card here but it can be used simply on a 6x6 card or selected pieces used on other cards. Just my thing

Merry Christmas, Little Red Robin - Trimcraft

 Good afternoon :)
It's been very stormy here all day so far and I'm glad it's starting to die down now. I seem to have spent too long running around moving things inside the garage etc during the calmer moments.
So...here's another Christmas card I made with the Dovecraft "Little Red Robin" collection from  Trimcraft. I used the lovely Pearl glue in the range to colour the robin's breast which I had die cut from white foam.

I used the Tonic Studios Cascading Heart Waterfall die set with the sentiment from the Forever My Friend Flip Flop die set and some butterflies from the Wings and Things set. The paper is "Tell the Bees" from Craft Consortium. I've used the aptly named Tonic Studios "Honey Gold" Satin card with lots of Honey Gold Glitter Drops.

Layered aperture card tutorial - Trimcraft

I've used 2 Dovecraft aperture cards as the base for this layered card with Trimcraft First Edition "Perfect Christmas" papers and Build a Scene dies.
You can see how to make it below. Enjoy :)

You will need:
 2 Dovecraft 5 x 7 square aperture cards
Dovecraft A4 luxury heavyweight card  - white
Trimcraft First Edition Perfect Christmas 8x8 paper pad
Dovecraft brown foam
Trimcraft First Edition Build a Scene Log Cabin dies FEDIE249x18
Trimcraft First Edition Sentiments Traditional FEDIE254x18
Dot & Dab white glue
Dot & Dab double sided tape
Dot & Dab foam tape
Dovecraft Crystal Glitter Glue
Dovecraft Christmas washi tape

How to make it:
 1. Take 2 5x7 square aperture cards. Fold one back to front as shown. Cut a piece of white card measuring 12cm x 18.5cm. Score and fold at 1cm on the long side.

 2. Attach the 1cm flap to the outside back of the left card with double sided tape.

 3. Glue the back of the right card over the back of the left card to create the new card shape in the photo.

 4. Attach a 11.5cm x 17cm piece of green patterned paper to the centre flap. Cut a piece of snowman paper measuring 12cm x 17cm, hold in place on the right card front with masking tape and mark the aperture. Cut out the aperture with a craft knife and attach the paper to the car front with double sided tape. Repeat with the green patterned paper on the opposite card front.

 5. Die cut the low snow mound, snowman and tree and glue around the front aperture as shown.

 6. Die cut two sets of mountains and a snow mound and glue to the left front as shown.

 7. Die cut the cabin from white card, glue to brown foam and cut around the outside. Reattach the snowy roof.Glue to the front of the card. Add glitter glue to the snow, tree, snowman and cabin roof.

 8. Die cut the mountains and cabin again and glue to the inside flap.

 9. Add Christmas Tree washi across the card panels and glitter glue to the die cuts.

 10. Add Christmas Tree washi tape across the inside panel as well.

 11. Add a strip of Best Wishes washi tape across the top of the centre panel.

12. Add some Simply Creative 3mm gems to the snow and "sky". Die cut the Merry Christmas and glue below the cabin on the card front.
