Newcastle, Co. Down

Saturday was the last day of our week off so this time we packed up a picnic and headed off in the other direction - to Co. Down. The weather was fantastic so we just enjoyed the scenery at Newcastle

The Mourne Mountains

Thought this looked like the ultimate selfie ball! That's the pair of us looking even more round than usual ;)

Old habits die hard :) I guess I've always had a fascination for collecting shells, glass etc and enjoying the different colours and textures :)

  1. Thank you for sharing these photos to see what county Down looks like, my Great Grand parents Thomas Cowan and Margaret McCutcheon were married at Newtownards in 1847 - big mystery if only I could find their parent Both father's were John but no mothers names on the marriage certificate

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment, it's lovely to hear from you. Ruth
