These are the cards I made at today's demo in the Art and Hobby Shop, Drogheda with the Trimcraft Christmas collections.

 Very blurred but I think you can get the idea :)

Bee Happy - card tutorial Trimcraft

Bee Happy :) the new Dovecraft Premium collection from Trimcraft has beautiful foiled paper designs and lots of different coordinating embellishments. You can see below how to make this card using some of them.
I'm not sure who came up with this card shape in the first place but I've seen variations on Pinterest with different shaped dies.

You will need;

How to make it:

 1. Cut a piece of gold foiled bee paper to 8.5cm x 9cm and glue the photo frame on top. Glue to the centre of the card.

 2. Cut a 9.5cm piece of ribbon with a tail and attach to the bottom of the frame with double sided tape.Die cut the honeycomb in white card and glue to the bottom left,. Add a heart Puffy Sticker to the centre and a Bee Puffy Sticker to the top right.

 3. Cut 2 pieces of pale green patterned paper (14.5cm x 14.5cm) and glue to both sides of the inside of the card. Cut a 29.5cm x 2cm strip of white card. Fold in the centre and then fold each side into the centre as shown.

 4. Add honeycomb washi tape across the strip and glue to the centre of the card making sure to only attach the two outside quarters.

 5. Die cut 4 frames in peach paper and cut a piece of 4 different patterned papers and white card each measuring 6cm x 6.5cm.

 6. Glue the patterned paper to the white card and then glue the frames on top. Glue the centres of these to a folded part of the strip with washi tape on top.

 7. Die cut the 4 shapes above from white card and gold patterned paper.

 8. Offset the gold paper die cuts on top of the white die cuts and glue one to the centre of each of the frames.

9. To finish, add a length of gold honeycomb washi tape along each side of the card front to create a frame.

Afternoon off - Whitehead

 It's not often that all four of us are free at the same time so we made the most of it this afternoon.

The boys treated us to a carvery lunch and later to hot chocolate and ice cream :)

In between we had a lovely walk along the path at Whitehead towards Blackhead Lighthouse.

Fold Back Aperture card tutorial - Trimcraft "The Gift of Christmas"

 The beautiful papers in the Trimcraft First Edition "The Gift of Christmas" paper pad look really well in this type of card fold. The quality of the paper as well as the colours and patterns give great results :) There are lots of different images in the pad which can be used inside the aperture and I've chosen the two little angels.

To make this card you will need:

Dovecraft 6x6 Polka Dot Embossed card

Trimcraft First Edition "The Gift of Christmas"12 x 12 paper pad

Simply Creative "Holly" dies 

Dovecraft 10mm 3D foam squares

Dovecraft crafters glue

craft knife

double sided tape

die cutting machine

How to make it

 1. Cut a 13.5cm x 13.5cm square of gold striped paper. Using a craft knife or trimmer, mark 2cm inside the square and cut out. Set this piece aside to use in step 5.

 2. Cut a piece of double sided paper measuring 12.5cm x 12.5cm and score a square inside  - 3cm from the outside.

 3. Using a craft knife, cut from each corner diagonally across the centre.

 4. Fold the points up to the outside edge and back again to the score line.

 5. Take the piece left over from step 1. and create a 1cm frame by removing the inside.

 6. Glue the frame onto the card as shown.

 7. Attach a 3D foam square to the points of each folded part.

 8. Fold over and add another 3D foam square to the underside, as shown.

 9. Choose an image from the paper pad and place the frame over it, mark where to cut, then cut the piece out and glue to the underside of the aperture.

 10. Die cut the Christmas sentiment and cut a 1cm strip of white card to fit behind the "Christmas".

 11. Attach the panel to the large gold "frame" from step 1 and attach to the card with double sided tape. Glue the Christmas sentiment to the top left corner. Add red glitter glue all around the edges of the aperture folds.

 12. Die cut the holly leaves from gold striped paper and white card.

13. Glue the holly leaves to the bottom right corner.

Demo at Art & Hobby, Drogheda - 14th October

 Good morning. Just a little reminder that my next demo is at the Art and Hobby Shop, Drogheda where I'll be making lots of Christmas cards etc with some of Trimcraft's beautiful Christmas ranges for 2017. Demo times are 11.00am - 4.00pm and I hope to see some of you there if you're free :)

Happy October! Don't you just love Autumn and the beautiful colours of the leaves?

I've made a very simple Thank You card with the leaf dies and paper/card from the Tonic Craft Kit (1) and the broom from the Witchy Bits Trio set. I've added some coordinating Nuvo Drops :)

Bee Happy

Good morning :) I've made a bigger bridge fold card using the Dovecraft Premium "Bee Happy" collection from Trimcraft -aren't the papers and cotton ribbon gorgeous? I've also used some of the new First Edition dies from Trimcraft (Layering Topper, Frames and Flowers).

Haystacks in Donegal

 I saw these amazing haystacks near Manorhamilton on the way home from Letterkenny and just had to take a couple of photos in the Autumn evening light.
