Garnet pearlised card offer at Papermill

It's time for another offer at Papermill! This week it's the beautiful Garnet Pearlised card which I've used on the card and pillow box here.
You can buy approx 75 sheets of this A4 Garnet Pearlised card 300gsm for only £7.50.
The offer details can be found HERE

I've used the new Tonic Studios Regal Circle Doily dies in both white and garnet with flowers made from the Clematis, Lily, Poinsettia Punch and Stamp set for the centrepiece.
I have also punched into the corners of the Papermania Parkstone Pink paper with the Regal border punch to let the garnet card show through.

This little gift idea was made with the Tonic Studios Pillow box die and Regal strip punch.

Butterflies and Twine

Good morning...here's another card using a mixture of items from the new Tonic Studios release -
I've trimmed the butterfly border to fit down the sides of the card, added 3 scalloped squares with Baker's twine wrapped round them, then added layering butterflies on top.
I used Ruby red card from Papermill as the card base and Papermania "Home for Christmas" paper with a stitched effect to match the twine.

Lime and black "For You" card

The last live Tonic show from CHA is at 6.00pm - I'm not sure what's still available because the new punches and dies were so popular, once again.
I've made a card using 2 of the new Tonic Studios Deco frame die together this time. The underneath one in white is "Emily" and I've overlaid a lime green "Rose" one on top.The centre is part of a Butterfly Circle die set and the "For You" was cut with one of the dies from the Pillow box set. There are 2 of the Layering Butterflies at the top.

The flowers were made using the Clematis, Lily, Poinsettia Punch and Stamp set :)

The white, black and lime green card is all from Papermill.

Butterfly circles gatefold card

Every new Tonic release seems more popular than the last. . and this one is no exception :)
You can catch Jodie this evening again at 10.00pm on Create and Craft live from CHA and see more of the beautiful frames, dies and punches.
I've made a gatefold card this time and overlapped the butterfly circles  - this type of opening is bound to have a special name so please let me know if you have it ..

The corners are made with the Ivy Deco frame die set and
the little butterfly in the centre is one of the layering Butterfly set.

The white, lime green and kraft card is from Papermill and the designer paper is First Editions Up Up and Away

Fuchsia stamp frame

Well, did you catch the frames and dies on Create and Craft? Aren't they beauti
ful? As you can see they can be used as cards, mementos, shadow boxes, wall hangings etc...in fact, just whatever you want to use them for.
This is a really simple idea. I painted the frame with pearlescent acrylic paint, added a stamped Fuchsia  - coloured with Promarkers and an Emily Deco frame diecut in silver.

Don't forget to have another look at 7.00pm - you'll get plenty of inspiration :)

Double frame photo card

Today's the day - you can see the entire new Tonic release on Create and Craft
 live from CHA today:)

I've used 2 of the bevelled frames together in a little cover/folder of card. The front of the folder is decorated with an Ivy Deco frame diecut and I've used the corners from the same set to decorate the two frames inside.

Front cover

Just in case you were wondering - the photos are of our two sons, taken a long time ago when they were still cute! It's probably just as well they don't look at my blog or Facebook page ;)

Memories in a Frame - shells and autumn leaves

Shell Frame
I  like to gather "little pieces of nature" on walks and days out and I have lots of little boxes full of "mementos" like these fir cones, chestnuts, beech nuts and leaves. In other boxes I have shells, driftwood and weathered glass form beach walks. When I came to make up the lovely new Tonic Studios Forever Moments paper frames I knew they were ideal for this type of thing...and the collection will look better on my craft room wall than in little boxes.

I added a die cut Ivy Deco Frame on top of this one made from Kanban Sparkle Sand Beach background card to complement the shells.

Autumn leaves

I added the Deco frame die (Rose) in kraft card from Papermill in keeping with the natural theme.

Papermill card offer

I've used the lovely white smooth 260gsm card which is on offer at Papermill this week to make this swing card.
260gsm Smooth White
Midi Box (approx 260 sheets) - £16.00
Mega Box (approx 645 sheets) - £34.00 - that's just a fraction over 5p per sheet!
You can see the offer HERE.

I've used the smooth card for the actual card base, for punching and diecutting.
I have also posted a step by step tutorial of how I made the card HERE.

A4 Swing card tutorial

It took a while  - but I've got it done! This is the tutorial for the "A4" swing card shown above.

1. I started with an A4 piece of card and cut 1cm off  the short side to make it 20cm high and ,measured in from the sides to the points indicated. The dashed lines are score lines.

2. I used the Tonic Studios Boudoir Square die set for the centre part.

3. Tape the inner die in the centre of the card using the guides marked on the top photo.

4. Die cut the entire inner die.

5. Now remove the inner die and tape the outer die directly on top.

6. Transfer the centre score line guides to the back of the card.

7. Lay the card with the die facing upwards on your cutting machine and then lay the cutting plate just up to the guideline on the back of the card.
Turn the card round and cut the opposite side - leaving the centre part intact.
8. This will give you the shape above.

9. Now fold  the other marked lines into a valley fold to get the shape above.

You are now ready to decorate in whatever way you like.

Here's a photo of the card when it's closed, measuring 18cm x 20cm so it fits neatly inside an 8x8 envelope.

Lilac butterflies and roses

Here's another card for this weekend's Tonic release......I've used the beautiful Rose Deco frame die, but this time I've cut it into pieces and used as a border with some Cristal Stickles in the apertures.
I've die cut the Butterfly Circe into the card (without using the outer edge) and added some layering Butterflies.
The card is made from Papermill new lilac and white card with some lilac gingham paper.
Sorry about the quality of the photo but the light is rubbish at the moment :(

Pups in red frame book

There are 101 ways to use the beautiful new Tonic Studios Forever Moments Paper Frames and I'm afraid I got a bit carried away and had to call a halt. For this one I've made a little book/card with Ruby Red card from Papermill, added a diecut Scalloped square as the cover with the corners from the Deco Frame Die (Rose) and a big flower made with the Carnation, Sweet William, Peony Punch and Stamp set.

Then I added a really cute photo of some pups inside - what on earth was I thinking of having them all on my sofa?
I framed the photo with the Deco Frame Die (Rose) .

See you soon again with more :)

Birthday Wishes letter

This is my first preview of the gorgeous new Tonic Studios release coming your way on Saturday!
There are so many different ways to use the new products together you'll not be out of your craft room for weeks :)
I've used the Forever Moments Deco Frame die (Emily) behind an"envelope" made from one of the layering square dies. I've made a stamp from the smallest scalloped square die with the cameo from the Hand mirror tag die. I've used the lovely corner dies from the Emily set, the Birthday Wishes die in the centre and some little flowers made with the petals from the Rose Punch and Stamp set with the stamen from the Clematis Punch and Stamp set.

I have to warn you now that this is only the beginning of many, many samples..............:)

Secret message card

Well, I had so much on this last while I only just got my Christmas tree and decorations away late last night.. It's a lovely feeling when they are all back up in the loft and the house is all clean and shiny again ...aaaah :). I love the smell of Mr. Sheen ;)
So now I have another heart die sample to share and this time I only partially cut the centre heart out form the Indulgence Affections Square Base die and created a little tab to conceal a message ie "All my Love".
I used the Monarch Medley Verso corners around the edges of the card.

It won't be long now till I can show you what's been keeping me so busy...........totally different but very "wantable" ;)
