1. Die cut 1 Top Panel and 3 Front/Back panels from Misty Grey card. Fold back and burnish all the glue tabs on the Top Panel.

2. Die cut the long plain panel from Silver Screen Glitter card and then tape the decorative panel onto one side of this panel and die cut.

3. Move the die to the opposite side of the panel and die cut again.

4. Die cut the plain panel from Flourishing Green card and glue the silver glitter panel on top.

5. Glue this onto the Misty Grey Top Panel.

6. Adhere the Top Panel to one of the Front/Back panels, making sure to place the glue tabs on the outside.

7. Cover the tabs with the second Front/Back panel.

8. Position the Front/ Back Panel die over the die cut and tape the Door Die in place.

9. Remove the Front/Back Panel die, leaving the Door Die in place and die cut.

10. Die cut the 2 outline dies shown from Flourishing Green card and then use the same dies together with the detail dies to cut out the silver glitter shapes and glue these on top of the corresponding pieces.

11. Die cut one base panel from Misty Grey card.

12. Align the Base with the decorative edge of the Front/Back Panel and glue it to both the Top Panel and the Front/Back Panel using the glue tabs.

13. Glue the patterned panels in place on the front of the Post Box.

14. To hold the door in place, die cut a Scalloped Edge from Flourishing Green card and glue on the inside as shown.

15. Die cut the 3 pieces shown above from Flourishing Green card.

16. Fold the Lock to form a loop and glue the tabs in place.

17.  Secure the hook in place through the hole using a brad/split pin.

18. Decorate with foliage cut from a combination of different shades of green card, add a polka dot bow at the top and Red Berry Crystal Drops on the berries.

How to Make it

1. Die cut Main Panel x 2, Side Panel x 2, Base/Side Panel x 2, Small Panel x 4.

2. Die cut the doors into one of your Main Panel die cuts.

3. Fold each of the 4 Small Panels and burnish. Glue the ends together to form tubes.

4. Use both dies shown together to create a decorative panel and adhere to the top of the front Main Panel.

5. Paper piece different colours into the decorative panel.

6. Use the 3 dies shown to make a little clock and adhere to the panel.

7. Die cut the door front decorative panels from mirror card, the mini ovals from Mauve Purple card and the numbers from glitter card and adhere to the doors.

8. Die cut 2 rectangles, then use the same die along with the window and brick die with mirror card. Adhere together (making sure that the glue tab is at the top on one and the bottom on the other) and paper piece some gold glitter card into the bricks and below the windows.

9. Adhere all of the folded and glued Small Panels around the window and door cut outs on the reverse.

10. Adhere all of the Base/Side Panels to the Main Panel.

11. Glue the remaining Main Panel to the back.

12. Die cut the long quoin stones from gold glitter card and snip top fit down both sides of the front panel beside the doors.

13. Die cut the 2 panels shown and trim to fit over the top of the box and the shaped area at the top.

14. Die cut 6 tree shapes, 6 debossed panels, 1 hexagon and 6 base shapes. Adhere the debossed panels to the tree sides.

15. Take the 6 tree die cuts and fold along the fold lines. Glue all 6 die cuts together.

16. Glue all 6 base dies cuts together.

17. Glue the finished base to the hexagon and this little compartment forms a gift box with the tree acting as the lid.

You can then make more buildings, including the bigger size, in the same way and add more trees to create an Advent Village.

Beautiful Bevelled Star Gift Box Tutorial (Tonic Birthday Week) #affiliate

Today I'm sharing the Beautiful Bevelled Star Gift Box which is one of Tonic's 2023 Birthday Week launches. This amazing die set has 30 dies which can be used to make a star box with a flat lid or as the name suggests a box with a beautiful bevelled lid.

You can see the full photo tutorial of how to make this below but you can also see how to make this and another box in my video here

You can also use the same dies to make cards, 3D Christmas decorations and gift tags.

How to Make it

1. To create the base of the box, die cut 6 box side panels and 2 small star bases from white card.

2. Die cut the coordinating decorative panel with the star in the centre from Water Sprite Iridescent Mirror card 6 times and glue these onto the sides.

3. Fold all the score lines and then glue each side panel to its adjoining piece and then glue the bottom tabs to the bottom face of the small star base die cut.

4. Cover the glue tabs with the other small star base die cut.

5. To create the lid, die cut 6 white lid sides from white card.

6. Die cut the little strip shown above 12 times and glue to the lid sides. Adhere the sides to each other by the small glue tabs.

7. Die cut a large star lid from Water Sprite card.

8. Glue the bottom tabs to the face of the large star lid. You can then cover the exposed glue tabs with the bevelled star.

9. To create the bevelled top for the lid, die cut 6 bevelled points from white card, die cutting the pattern into both sides of each point at the same time. Fold all the score lines

10. Attach all 6 die cuts by gluing the smaller tab to the adjacent bevelled point die cut.

11. Use double sided tape to adhere the remaining tabs to the underneath of the small star base.

12. Attach this directly onto the lid so that the Water Sprite card is visible. Use a few dots of glue on the points along with the double sided tape to create a stronger bond.

13. Die cut some foliage and red berries and attach to the top of the lid with a hot glue gun. Add dimension to the berries with Red Berry Crystal Drops.

14. Finally line the box with small star cut from Water Sprite card.
