Crawfordsburn Country Park, Co. Down
Someone has been very busy with a chainsaw since our last visit. We came top see the bluebells but these were a lovely addition to the park.
50 years of Ulsterbus
We were passing the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum on Saturday when we noticed a lot of vintage buses in the car park. David was keen to see them so we turned back and parked. It was the end of a rally celebrating 50 years of Translink Ulsterbus and was really interesting.
I really felt my age when I saw this one! I travelled every day during term time for seven years to school on a bus exactly like this one!
The old City Bus from my teenage years :)
The driver of this brand new Airport Express let us on board - super modern inside with USB ports in the seats etc.
This little miniature bus was driven around the car park by a man inside - I'm not sure how he got in there but I did see him getting out to stretch his legs:)
The presentation ceremony for the worthy winners - cups and shields presented by the CEO of Translink - Chris Conway.
There's a great little video HERE with interesting clips from over the years including the famous Mr. Heubeck whose name we heard so often in thew news at the time when he carried suspect parcels off the buses.

My Happy Place
Trying out one of the new Folk Art stencils I got from Plaid Crafts with some of their chalk paint - Glacier, White Adirondack and Grotto with some added flat backed pearls.
This has got to be one for the craft room!!
Carlingford, Co. Louth yesterday
We drove off to Co. Louth yesterday afternoon and had a lovely time in Carlingford. It's a really quaint little place with a beautiful harbour, King John's castle, cobbled streets and cute shops in narrow streets.
Not so much walking today as I've pulled a ligament in my foot and have it bandaged up with orders not to walk too far :(
There must be major work going on here as the scaffolding was up when we were here 3 years ago.
A view of the Mournes across Carlingford Lough.
I do love an old wreck!!
Easter Monday at Tollymore Forest Park, Co. Down
After a picnic in the car sheltering from the rain, the weather brightened up and we had a lovely afternoon following the "Red Route" round Tollymore Forest Park in Co. Down. I love making memories with my favourite people!
