Folk Art Stencil Spray by Plaid

I've been having a play with some gorgeous Folk Art Stencil Sprays which Plaid sent me - so much fun to use. I put the cards and canvas in a cardboard box and sprayed the layers :)
I used them with some Plaid Folk Art stencils.

Folk Art Stencil Sprays, Trimcraft dies, Dovecraft embellishments and Simply Creative pearls.

Kilkeel, Co. Down

Kilkeel harbour. I always enjoy walking round here, watching all the goings on of the fishermen - painting the boats, unloading, sitting chatting to each other.

Just up the road from the harbour is a steep little path down to the beach.

Annalong, Co. Down

It was such a beautiful day on Monday that we decided to have a trip to the Mournes. On our way I remembered that I'd seen a photo of a quaint little cafe on a friend's Facebook page and we had a look for it. The good news is that it was easy to find - the bad new is that it was closed on a Monday :( (and also on Wednesdays, just in case you go looking for it too!)
Anyhow, the view from the cafe is spectacular, especially on a sunny day.

We drove down towards the sea when I suddenly spotted this view and jumped out for a photo. I thought it made Annalong look quite Mediterranean :)

After spending part of the day in Kilkeel we came back to eat fish and chips from the Galley in Annalong. We took them to the little harbour and enjoyed the view from there.
The tide was out and there was a big heron doing some fishing. I tried to get photos of it but it stayed in one spot juts long enough for me to line it up and then flew off again :(

Cardmaking/ craft demo in Easons, Donegall Place, Belfast on Sat 5th August

I'll be demoing in Eason's, Donegall Place, Belfast on Saturday 5th August - that's next weekend! So...before I head off round the country again with the Christmas craft ranges, I'll be taking the time here to do some basic cardmaking/crafting techniques. I get asked to do this so often but there's usually a rush with specific products once I hit the road. I'll be doing different card folds, showing how to choose products, styles, colours etc. I will also be using Promarkers and showing blending techniques etc. If you're free, come along  I'll be there from 11.00am - 1.00pm and 2.00pm - 4.00pmFor everyone else who has asked - yes, I'm hoping to be in a shop near you soon again - my little break is almost over

Turf and Bog Cotton, Co. Donegal

Nothing says "Ireland" quite like turf  I took these photos near Glenveagh National Park in Co. Donegal. There's bog cotton growing alongside the peat and you can see the tip of Mount Errigal in the first photo.

Enchanted (Simply Creative papers from Trimcraft)

A pretty quick and simple card today with Trimcraft's lovely new "Enchantment" papers from their Simply Creative range. I cut an aperture in the 6x6 flower embossed card with the Nesting Doily die and decoupaged little houses from the 12 x 12 pad across the aperture.I also used the heart bunting from the assorted bunting dies and decoupaged some handcut clouds from the 12 x 12 paper pad. I have added a loos leaf of cloud paper from the 6x6 paper pad inside. There is aome Dovecraft Crystal Glitter Glue on the house windows and the clouds and some Simply Creative pearls on the bunting :)

Fanad Head Lighthouse, Co. Donegal

Some photos of Fanad Head Lighthouse on the Wild Atlantic Way, Co. Donegal from two weeks ago. The lighthouse has only been open to the public for around a year and is well worthy a visit, especially if you climb right up to the top.

The amazing spiral staircase with the flags to the left.

Tour guide, Jimmy, who made it very interesting
