Trimcraft Winter Woodland Reindeer card - complete card and Promarker TUTORIAL

I've made a card using the Trimcraft WinterWoodland collection which includes the Reindeer stamp - any excuse to get stamping and colouring! - and I've taken photos of all the steps involved in making it so you can try it for yourselves.

Here's what you'll need ;
Dovecraft 6x6  white Scallop edge card
Dovecraft Essentials 6x6 Colours paper pack
Trimcraft Winter Woodland Reindeer Stamp
Trimcraft Winter Woodland Fox Die set
Trimcraft Winter Woodland 6x6 paper pack
Trimcraft Winter Woodland Paper Blossoms
Trimcraft Winter Woodland Wooden Buttons
Trimcraft Winter Woodland Twine
Trimcraft Winter Woodland Adhesive Toppers
Dovecraft  Ruby Glitter Glue
Dovecraft Super Value Crafters Glue
Double sided tape

white card, green card

You'll need a diecutting machine to cut the holly garland

Colours of Promarkers you'll need...
Ivory, Sandstone, Cinnamon, Walnut, Yellow, Gold, Meadow Green, Forest Green, Berry Red, Ruby, Ice Grey 3, Blender.

How to make the card
Start by stamping and colouring the Reindeer
 1. Stamp your image onto white card.

 2. Colour the areas shown with Ivory.

 3. Colour the rest of the reindeer with Sandstone - going over the ivory areas on the legs, face and underside slightly.

 4. Add some shading with Cinnamon.

 5. Now go over the whole reindeer with Sandstone again colouring with small circular motions.

 6. Go over the lightest parts again with Ivory - again using a circular motion.

 7. Add some Putty to the inner part of the ear.

8. Blend the Putty in with a layer of Ivory.

9. Colour the antlers with Walnut.

 10. Colour the other ear behind the antlers with Ivory.

11. Add shading with Sandstone.

 12. Add a little more shading with Cinnamon.

 13. Colour the scarf as shown with Meadow Green, Yellow and Berry Red.

 14. Add shading as shown with Forest Green, Gold and Ruby.

 15. Go over these areas again with Yellow and Meadow to blend together. You won't need to blend the Ruby.

16. Add some Ice Grey 3 to the edges of the "white"  area on the scarf.

17. Finish by going over the whole "white" area with Blender pen to create a muted shadow effect.

Now the card;
1. Die cut the Holly Garland from the Fox die set using green card.

2. Colour alternate holly leaves with Forest Green Promarker and add Dovecraft Ruby Glitter Glue to the berries. Set this aside to dry.

3. Trim a piece of 6x6 paper to 14cm x14cm and matt onto brown paper from the Dovecraft Colours pack (trimmed to 14.5cm x 14.5cm). Attach to the card front with double sided tape.
Matt the reindeer image onto brown paper and attach to the card front at an angle with double sided tape.

4. Layer some paper blossoms and add a wooden button with twine in the centre. Glue this to the bottom left of the stamped image.

5. Glue the die cut garland along the top of the image and add an adhesive topper beside the flower.

Beautiful Bow Rococo die Christmas Wreath card

When I first got the Beautiful Bow die I thought I had to make a Christmas wreath and add a gorgeous gold Bow die at the top so I cut two Wild Vine die cuts (in black and white) and overlapped them. Then I added the "berries" and bow. The corners are from the Twined Lily die set.

Teal heart pocket card

Hope you're all enjoying the Bank Holiday.
Thanks a million to all who contacted me one way or another yesterday to wish me a Happy Birthday - I was totally overwhelmed!!

Today's card was made with the Tonic Studios First Crush dies and I've created a little pocket by folding over the top of a heart diecut and added faux stitching all round the edges.
The beautiful border was created with the Intrica Twisted Twine Border punch and I've added a couple of Intrica Butterflies.

I used teal card from Papermill thought I'm not so sure I've been able to do this beautiful colour justice. It's actually my favourite colour of Papermill card :)

It was a nice surprise to meet up with Anna. I'm more used to crafty times with her sister, Daphne and look forward to catching up with you both soon again.

Distressing!

Not really my usual style of card but I quite like the distressed look now and then. The best part is using the little Tim Holtz distressing tool :)
I've used some hearts cut with the Tonic Studios Indulgence Affections dies with an added Intrica Butterfly and Fanciful Flourish

I bought the tassel trim in the haberdashery department of Dunelm Mill.

I've added a Poinsettia made with the Tonic Studios Clematis, Lily, Poinsettia Punch and Stamp set  - also from Tonic Studios and some tiny gems.

It's a Girl - Trimcraft First Editions

I've made another scrapbook page using the Trimcraft First Editions "It's a Girl" 12 x 12 paper pad...and a lovely photo of my great niece, Eva.

Most of the elements on the page are made from the 6x6 and 12x12 pages but I've added some Dovecrafts Forget Me Not and Back to Basics embellishments as well.
The fabric button in the centre of the flower is from the Trimcraft Santoro range.
