Pretty Posy 12 x 12 card fold - Trimcraft

Good morning. I've always loved using Trimcraft's gorgeous First Edition paper pads in all the sizes (6x6, 8x8 and 12x12) as all the different patterns and textures inside complement each other so well. The Pretty Posy papers are right up there among my favourites :)
This is another card which I've made by folding a double sided page from the 12x12 paper pad and adding some die cuts.

I made the band for the outside from another piece of 12x12 paper and added some Belle and Boo ribbon. I used the Trimcraft border die to decorate the front along with some Simply Creative gems.

On the inside I used the Pinking Edge nesting dies, heart from the Wedding die set and the others are from the Party die set.

How to make a banner with the Garland Fayre die set - Tonic Studios

The Garland Fayre die set contains 10 different dies which can be used to make bunting. There are plain and scallop edged outline shapes as well as decorative dies which can be used to cut a pattern within the outline die cut. For this card I have used the plain and scalloped outline dies.

To make this card you will need;
A4 white card
Tonic Studios Garland Fayre die set
Tonic Studios Cuddly Bears die
white card
coral card
Funky Glue
twine
Tonic Studios V Blade Trimmer
die cutting machine

How to make it:
 1. Score and fold the A4 white card in half.

 2. Place the folded edge against the top of the trimmer and make 4cm long slits at 4cm in from each edge.

 3. Open the card and score from the end of each slit down to the end of the slit below.

4. Fold this part to the inside of the card.

 5. Cut a piece of striped paper to measure 14cm x 20cm. Go in 3.25cm from each edge at the top and cut down 4cm. Cut across from the end of one slit to the other and remove the piece in the centre.

 6. Glue this piece to the card front.

7. Take a piece of twine which is longer that the gap in the card, tie a small bow at each end and glue to each side of the card.

8. Place the scalloped edge dies on the white card and cut out with your die cutting machine. Repeat this again so that you have 2 triangle die cuts.

9. Do the same with the plain edged dies on spotty patterned paper.

 10. Snip the tops off the patterned die cuts.

 11. Glue the spotty die cuts to the white die cuts.

 12. Use the letters from the Clarice die set to cut out Hello from white card and glue to the bunting.

 13. Repeat with coral coloured card and glue to the bunting beside the white letters but offset slightly. Fold over the tab at the tops of the bunting, add glue to the backs of these and attach to the twine across the top of the card.

14. Layer two die cut ovals and add white Cuddly Bears die cut on top. Glue to the centre of the card. Cut out the oval patterned shape from the Tangled Trellis die set , cut it in half and glue half in at each side of the layered ovals. Add Crystal Drops to the bears' noses and at either side of the oval.

Bell and Boo topper card - Trimcraft

This is another "catch up" card with Trimcraft's Belle and Boo collection. These papers are so easy to use on cards as they match perfectly. The toppers let you make a quick card if that's what you want ;)
I've added 2 different borders which I made with the Trimcraft border dies and added the name which I made with the Alphabet dies. The bow and gems are from the Belle and Boo collection and the heart buttons are from the Simply Creative range.

Just because :)

I don't really post a lot of personal photos but I was editing some card photos earlier and came across this one. It was taken about a year ago and so much has changed since then but I am so thankful for this man :). He has been a tower of strength.

Tonic Studios - Twisting Veranda easel card tutorial

The Twisting Veranda Layering die set from Tonic Studios has 11 dies in the pack, some of which cut out a solid shape and others which cut out the pattern only (verso). I've used dies from this set to make this easel card and you can see the steps in making it below.

You will need:
Tonic Studios Twisting Veranda die set
Tonic Studios Delicate Daisy die set
Tonic Studios Sew Pretty "Have a Beautiful Day" die set
Tonic Studios Filigree Flourish die set
Funky Glue
3D foam squares
white card
black card
pink card
gems
die cutting machine

How to make it:

1. Score and fold a piece of white A4 card in half and place the outline die which is 3rd from the outside in the set on top. Secure with masking tape so that all of the die is on the card except for a little section at the top.

2. Pass the card and die through your die cutting machine and when you remove it, it will look like this.

3. Score down the centre of one of the shapes.

4. Fold in half to give the easel base.

 5. Using the same outline die, cut another shape in white card and one in black.

 6. Take the corresponding size of "verso" die (the one which only cuts the pattern) and tape it on top of the white die cut. Pass through the die cutting machine.

 7. Take the next smallest verso die, tape on top and pass through the machine.

8. Finally repeat the last step with the next smallest verso die from the set.

9. Take the small outline die which fits inside the last step and cut out two shapes - one black and one white.

 10. Using the corresponding verso die cut the pattern into the black shape and glue this piece directly on top of the white shape. Attach this to the centre of the card with 3D foam squares.

11. Spread glue on the front folded part of the easel and attach the die cut panel on top so that the bottom of the panel is glued to the folded part of the easel as shown.

12. Die cut "Have a Beautiful Day" from white and black card.

 13. Glue the white sentiment on top of the black one, offsetting slightly to create a shadow effect and glue to the centre of the card.

14. Cut two more of the smaller solid shapes from black and white.

15. Add the pattern in the centre of the black one with the small verso die. Glue the black shape onto the white shape and attach to the bottom of the card with 3D foam squares to act as a stopper for the easel. Die cut the Filigree Flourish shape shown from black card and snip in half. Glue the halves to each side of the base beside the stopper.

16. Decorate with flowers made from the Entwining Trellis " Delicate Daisy set.

Belle and Boo easel card

Back with another Belle and Boo card. This time it's an easel card and I've assembled and used a decoupage page as the front. The papers are all from the  Belle and Boo 6x6 pad and I have also used Simply Creative Paper blossoms, heart buttons and gems along with  Trimcraft First Edition border die.
The "Friend" is made with the Family Sentiment die set.
You'll always have a friend when you have ice cream :)

Belle and Boo Trinket box

Good morning - just! I have a few more samples of the new Trimcraft Belle and Boo collection which I made a couple of weeks ago. The first is a little "Create" wooden box and I used a Trimcraft die cut border with a Belle and Boo topper and bow.

I used one part of a decoupage sheet on the inside of the lid and a piece of coordinating 8x8 paper on the inside.

I've added a border die cut and some Dovecraft Glitter Glue to finish off :)

My Guy gift bag - Trimcraft Simply Creative

Quick and easy :)
The My Guy paper's from Tromcraft's Simply Creative collection are great for making men's cards and gifts - I've used the 12 x 12 paper pad to make this gift bag and added a tag with some of the Trimcraft First Edition "Sport" dies.

Paperworks demo date change

For anyone who is hoping to come along to my demo at Paperworks, Linen Green, Dungannon - Heather has asked me to change the demo date to the following week to give them a little extra time to finish the repairs to the shop after the recent flooding. My demo there is now scheduled to take place on June 4th.
The shop is fully operational in the meantime so do call in if you are in the area
smile emoticon

Another "Groovi" card - Blue Tits

I was all set to do some gardening but I couldn't resist the new Groovi plates which arrived in the post yesterday - isn't this one gorgeous? It's the Large Blue Tit plate which I've used along with the Nesting Circles plate.
I'll be demoing the Groovi plates etc for Crafty Devils Papercraft at the Titanic Exhibition Centre in Belfast next week (28th - 30thApril) along with lots of Tonic Studios dies so I used some Tonic dies on this card too - Scalloped Circles Layering dies, Filigree Flourish, Delicate Daisy and Pinhole Circle Layering dies.

Thank You card - Tonic Studios Venetian Lace die set

Good morning. I am hoping to get some much needed gardening done today so I hope the sun keeps shining like it did yesterday :)
I have some cards and samples to make first before I clear away all my crafty stuff for the day so I might be back later with one or two of them.
This is one I made a few days ago with the Tonic Studios Venetian Lace Large Layering die set. The blue/ turquoise behind the main die cut part is a loose leaf and not attached to the back of the white card..
I've also used the Thank You sentiment die and the Radiant Roselily dies to make the flower. There is a little piece from a Filigree Flourish die cut at the bottom of the panel.

Belle and Boo Flip card - Trimcraft

Hi, this is one of my card using Trimcraft's newest Belle and Boo collection. I've used an A4 piece of white card cut to 26cm to make the card base and attached lots of different papers from the 8x8 paper pack. I've also used a Belle and Boo topper, a decoupage sheet and some Trimcraft Border dies.
