Mini notebook

Just a really quick and easy mini notebook made from the Tonic StudiosMounted Rose die set and Romantic Cottage paper...got the idea from a tiny (and very old) copy of William Shakespeare's "Coriolanus"
- I like to add mini gifts to match my cards eg bookmarks, tags etc and this mini book idea would make a cute little "extra"

"Replica" handbag

I'm playing catch up a little today - here's a little handbag which I made using the beautiful Chelsea Shoulder Bag die set from Tonic Studios. I couldn't resist making a sort of replica of one of my own handbags but need to step away from that idea now or I'll be here forever ;)
Anyhow, I simply cut out the main handbag shape twice and put them together - there are lots of other decorative dies in the pack which you can use too.

I used Ivory Linen and Mocha Brown Plain card from Papermilldirect.

Bohemian papers and embellishments from Trimcraft

Today's cards and tag are all made with the Bohemian range from Dovecraft/Trimcraft.

Twisted easel card with the Bird stamp coloured with Promarkers. The butterflies are cut from the 6x6 paper.

Golden fields of Cambridgeshire

I'll not bore you with all the photos I took while we were away (well, maybe just a few more!) but I do love these ones.  There is something about the texture and colour which really appeals to me.
You can see I enjoy the simple things in life ;)

Change to demo schedule

We had a lovely little break in Cambridge for a few days and just got back home last night. I've got lots of things to clear up now- and lots of boxes to open which were delivered while we were gone :)

But first things first - unfortunately I've had to change my demo schedule and cancel a couple of demos which I was really looking forward to. As some of you know I'm due to have an operation early next week and have been advised to take a little time to rest afterwards. God willing I'll be back in action for my demo at Art and Hobby, Dundrum, Dublin on August 22nd and hope to be able to continue as much as possible after that. I'll keep you posted.

I really want to thank everyone for their prayers, good wishes and cards etc - they mean the world to me just now and make me very happy indeed :)

I'll be working on lots of things from home in the meantime and will share them as I get them finished....but now I'm off to unpack and get the washing done :(

Tall Ships - Belfast July 2015

Taken from the Titanic building on Wednesday evening as the boats were just arriving.

The Tall Ships came to Belfast last week again and it was lovely not only to see them once more but also to see so many people in Belfast enjoying the atmosphere.

Out and about - Co.Cavan and Co. Fermanagh

We had a day or two in Cavan and Fermanagh at the end of last week and I took a few photos of the countryside. I loved the hay - it's usually wrapped in black plastic!

Winner of the blog giveaway

And the winner is............

Well, I had intended to choose the winner of the die set by Random org. but there were quite a few people who couldn't seem to add a link in the Inlinkz section and I resorted to writing the names on paper and choosing one from inside a drawstring bag instead - so much for technology! lol

Thanks to everyone who entered.....and don't worry if you didn't win this time - there are more giveaways to come :)

So......congratulations to Marie O Hanlon  (I see I spelt your name wrongly on the piece of paper but I'm sure you'll forgive me!)
Please send me your address and I'll post the beautiful die set to you as soon as possible.
