I got a new little chocolate bar mould recently from Lakeland (no connection, just a happy customer) and thought I'd make some frozen yogurt bars. Always a lover of strawberries so I have combined this with a quick and easy dessert made of strawberries, creme fraiche, mascarpone and icing (powdered) sugar.
Kit 69 from Tonic is called Whimsical Wonderland. There are lots of dies and stamps which can be used to build little scenes with gingerbread people.
You can see how I used it to create 3 different things in my video here
For my first creation I also used the Little Memories Frames die set as I know many of you already have it. I have also used some white card from my stash.
Hi :) I thought it was time to say hello again and update you on what I'm currently doing in my own little crafty world.
First of all, thank you so much for visiting my blog today and every other day! Feel free to leave a comment and I'll do my best to keep in touch. I started off blogging almost 14 years ago and at that time I interacted much more with my followers and other bloggers. However, over the years I have become busier on Facebook, Pinterest etc and mostly on my YouTube channel "Crafting with Ruth Hamilton". I've been keeping an eye on the amount of daily visitors to my blog and am delighted to see this growing steadily. Thank you so much!!
I will continue to post here but you can also see video of most of my makes on my crafting channel and I'd love you to join me there too. I'd also welcome suggestions for future videos, especially non brand specific tutorials etc. I have a long list which I intend working slowly through but feel free to tell me some of the craft videos which you would like to see. :)
PS I also have a much smaller (but hopefully interesting!) foodie type craft channel which you can see here - Creative in the Kitchen with Ruth Hamilton and you'd be more than welcome over there too!
Terrific Triple Towers!! A great name for a fabulous die set! You can make a Helter Skelter, Windmill and Lighthouse! This set is now available from the Tonic websites and these are my affiliate links if you'd like to have a look
In this Step by Step blog post I show

1. Cut a piece of ivory card
measuring 10.5cm x 15cm and tape to your glass mat with masking tape along the
top and bottom leaving a 0.5cm gap at the edges.
2. Using
a sponge dauber, spread some Embellishment Mousse along the top and bottom
edges of the card panel. Leave to dry.
3. Remove the masking tape to leave a
crisp line at the top and bottom.
4. Using the largest die from the
Friendship Frames set, die cut 2 shapes – one Tidal Wave and one Italian Rose.
Cut the Tidal Wave shape in half across the narrowest part.
5. Glue these pieces onto the back of
the Italian Rose shape, leaving a little gap in the centre.
6. This will leave a little blue
border at the top and bottom on the right side.
7. Use the 2 dies shown with the
Glitter card to create a patterned panel.
8. Glue the glitter panel on top of
the mirror card.
9. Attach this panel onto the ivory
panel with 3D foam squares.
10. Attach the whole panel onto the
front of the card with more foam squares.
11.
Use both dies from the Good Luck set together to create this shape.
12. Die cut the plain outer shape
from the Good Luck set and glue the ivory sentiment panel on top. Glue this to
the centre of the card.
13. Paper piece a little Italian Rose
shamrock into the shamrock outline.
14. Add Gold Dust Glitter Drops to
the areas shown in the photo.
I had issue 2 of the Premium Inspired to Create (Toni Darroch) delivered today and I've posted a video showing you through the magazine and how I made the 5 cards I was commissioned for this edition. You can see the video here -
