Colour Create

I really love the challenges over at Colour Create and this week the colours to be used are lilac and blue with the added option of using swirls and ribbons.I'm not sure that I've really done the colour scheme justice as I prefer to team lilac with green or pink but here you are....
I have used
Papers embossed on the Cuttlebug
papers sent to me by Alex at Docrafts
swrls sent to me by Alex at Docrafts (thanks so much if you are looking!)
Image....my own sketch coloured with Promarkers
I have used a purple glitter gel pen to makethe dots on the PJs but it's not showing up too well in the photo
Flowers....woodware punch

Oh dear, I just about made it to enter a card for this week's Colour Create challenge . I looked at it off and on all week but couldn't get a chance to put it together. The colours this week are turquoise, lime and navy and the extra is "no patterned paper". I really love this combination and when I saw the sketch on Sketch Saturday I thought I would make one card to suit both.

Sketch Saturday

I drew this shaggy dog with a black fine nib pen but I think I was over enthusiastic with the shading and it's a bit too dark...
Anyhow it's made for this week's Sketch Saturday challenge.
I have used
papers............DCWV black and white prints
image.............my own sketch
flowers...........Dunelm Mill
buttons ..........stash

The photo is not great quality as it's quite late and I'm tired but if I get a chance tomorrow I will post a better one...?

My Time to Craft

I'm always stuck for ideas when it comes to making cards for men! The "young" man in question has just celebrated his 30th birthday and as he own a clothes shop I drew this image of jeans and a shirt for his card. Now I have just noticed that the challenge at My Time to Craft is "It's raining men" so I thought I would enter this card.

Truly Scrumptious

I thought I would use green for the Truly Scrumptious challenge. It's a great sketch to follow and something shiny must be added!
Well my finished card looks a bit unbalanced so after I enter it for the challenge I am going to remove the sentiment and put one along the bottom white area
Then I will use it for a Mothers Day card as I drew the orchid because my mum loves them!
I have used
Papers............Daisy and Dandelion..Picnic patch and others from stash
Image.............my own sketch coloured with Promarkers
Ribbon............Dunelm Mill

and I didn't want to add too much bling so the shiny bit is the gems at the corners.

Truly Scrumptious

The current Truly Scrumptious challenge sketch has lots of possibilities......and has to include a hand made button, so I thought mellow pinks and creams would be a good place to start.
I used
Papers.............Daisy and Dandelion Picnic
Image..............my own sketch coloured with Promarkers
Flower.............Ikea
and the "button" is punched from with a Woodware punch, coloured with Satin Promarker and stitched wtih light brown thread

Colour Create /Sketch Saturday challenge card

This week's challenge at Colour Create is to use red and green with the added option of "wings" and I really didn't want to make a Christmas card at this time of year so I came up with a "picnic" theme. I had a little piece of red gingham and thought it would make a good little jam cover........so I drew a pot of strawberry jam, scone and knife. The wings come in the shape of a little ladybird I made out of Fimo!
I was able to incorporate all this into the layout for Sketch Saturday

Papers......Crafters companion

This week's challenge over at Colour Create is to use the colours orange, yellow and green with the option of making something other than a card so I decided to decorate a little bottle as a gift using hessian, raffia and flowers cut with my small Woodware punch.

Colour Create /Cute Card Thursday

Well I do seem to have been making a lot of blue/brown cards lately but I love the combo and couldn't resist giving it another go for this week's Colour Create along with the optional lace and pearls.
I wanted to try theCute Card Thursday challenge for the first time too. This week they asked for an animal to be included and as I has already drawn this image I thought it would suit.
I have used
Papers..............DCWV Retro prints
