Moss Painted Finish by Plaid on twigs

I had a lovely walk around Islandhill in Co. Down a week or two ago and while most of the path was along the edge if the island overlooking the water, there was part of it where we had to go through a narrow track with high trees and bushes on either side. The branches and twigs were just covered in moss and it was absolutely beautiful. I thought I would like to make something which had twigs and moss paint on it when I got home and this is the result.

These are photos which I took of the mossy twigs on Islandhill

Happy New Year to my Chinese friends

Better late than never! I had this lovely Folk Art Chicken Coop stencil (31624) from Plaid Crafts and thought I'd use it on a tray with the coordinating chicken wire stencil to wish my Chinese friends a very Happy New Year as it's the year of the Rooster :)
I painted the tray with Sheepskin Chalk Paint and then used a variety of other Folk Art chalk paints for the rooster.I sealed it with Gloss Mod Podge.

Vintage watch with Rust painted finish

I've been using the Folk Art Painted Finishes from Plaid on some 3D projects and thought I'd like to try them on some cards. I used Trimcraft's "Wild at Heart" paper, distressed the edges with scissors and inked with Dovecraft Natural ink pad. Then I used some Folk Art Chalk Paint to stencil the chicken wire from a Folk Art Stencil (2 piece with chickens and chicken wire - 31624). I die cut a Trimcraft panel die and painted with the Rust Finish in both shades (light and dark), cut it into pieces and glued to the corners of the card. To get the more dimensional effect of the watch I die cut it 3 times and glued on top of each other- then added the rust finish and glued on top of a circle of cream card which I had spattered with Rich Black Chalk Paint from a toothbrush. Finally I added some Mod Podge Dimensional Magic on the face.

The flowers and dragonfly were made using the new Dovecraft Painted Blooms die set from Trimcraft. I inked the edges and added Simply Creative pearls.

New Trimcraft 6x6 Craft a Card dies

Have you seen the new First Edition 6x6 and 5x7 Craft a Card dies from Trimcraft? I've used one of the 6x6 dies on a Dovecraft "Mash Up" 6x6 card. Because the die cuts a beautiful filigree type pattern into the card, I have attached a piece of 6x6 paper (Trimcraft "Storyteller") inside.
The other die cuts on the front are made with the Trimcraft "Tea Party" die set and I've also added lots of 3mm and 6mm pearls.

Especially for You - Dovecraft Painted Blooms collection by Trimcraft

This is one of my cards made with the brand new Dovecraft "Painted Blooms" collection. I love the muted florals and coordinating patterns in the paper pads along with all the matching embellishments that you can see on my card - flower tape, mini bows, gems, stamps, tags, dies, doilies and sentiment stickers etc. I'll be sharing some more of these over the next few days and I think this will be a very popular range :)

Snoring away beside me

This is my company this morning. Missy has found a smaller box and is snoring away beside me. Why did I even bother to buy her a nice little bed?

Best Wishes birthday card

Hello :)  Can you believe it's almost a month since Christmas? It seems to have passed in a sea of card, paper and paint! Anyhow, it's my sister in law's birthday today and I hope this card has arrived in Cambridge by now - Happy Birthday, Ruth x
I've used Tonic Studios Beautiful Bouquet dies at the corners, Best Wishes  Miniature Moments die on top of layered Cockle Shell die cuts in the centre. The flowers are made with Rose Punch and Stamp set from a while ago :)

Blackout and aperture panel cards

I've posted a photo of one of these cards before with a square aperture so I'm just showing you a variation. Here's a  LINK to a tutorial for a similar card.
I've used Trimcraft's Blackout papers, Panel die, Tea Party dies and Bunting dies.

Storyteller papers with Puffy Paint dots - Trimcraft

Hello again - I made this card this morning with the Trimcraft First Edition "Storyteller" papers and did a little bit of paper distressing with the edge of my scissors.
The papers are really vibrant colours and I had the perfect matching 6x6 card from a new set of 24 Dovecraft cards and envelopes called "Mash-Up".
The dies I used are Trimcraft Clocks and Screens with a Dovecraft Dragonfly in the centre. I've added some texture paste with Dovecraft Glass paint on top around some of the edges but the main texture comes from dots of Dovecraft Puffy Paint placed randomly across the card.
The Puffy Paint comes in 8 different colours and is applied to the project directly from the fine nozzle. On this card I squeezed some out onto  my work surface and used a spatula and stencil - then I used my heat tool to give it the puffy effect (good fun!)
I've also used some Dovecraft Crystal Glitter Glue around the edges and on the clocks.

Folk Art Rust Painted Finish from Plaid

Hi, here's another sample I made with the Folk Art Rust Finishes from Plaid.
I painted the hearts with Grotto and Rich Black Chalk Paint (also from Plaid) and then applied both the light and dark Rust Finishes on top.

Filling boxes

We've been trying to sort out some old things which need stored away. We've been putting lots of cassettes in boxes but there's not as much room as we thought!

Bunting Gatefold card - Trimcraft

It's the Trimcraft Bunting dies again! This time I've used them on a gatefold card along with the Screen dies and Storyteller papers. The buttons are from the Simply Creative range.

I've used the large bunting dies on the inside with the "Love You" from the Sweets die set. This patterned panel lifts up to reveal the part were you write on the card.

Twist and Pop card with cats

Another Twist and Pop card, this time with the beautiful new Storyteller papers, Screen and Cat dies from Trimcraft. The papers at the front of the pad are so thick that they make fantastic cards in themselves so I've used the red floral one as the outside of my card.
Now I think I'll have to stop making this shape of card for a while as I seem to have made so many now.
Aren't those little cats so cute?

Mr& Mrs - Tonic Studios wedding card

This is another card I made a few weeks ago - a wedding card made with Tonic Studios dies. I've used the Budding Vine Patterned Panel die set, Mr & Mrs, Wedding Car and Eastern Oyster dies with a little White Blizzard Glitter Drops.

Heart and Glimmer Paste card - Tonic Studios

Back to crafting after a break for Christmas :)
This is actually one I made just before Christmas with the Tonic Studios Traditional Heart Layering Basics dies to create a heart frame and I added a flower made with the Woodland Aster dies.
The background is the Fancy Fretwork stencil with different colours of Glimmer Paste and I've added a few Crystal Drops to finish.
