How to make a double pocket and tag card

You will need:
Dovecraft A4 Luxury Heavyweight white card
Dovecraft "Magic of Christmas" 8x8 paper pack
Dovecraft "Magic of Christmas" Poinsettias
Dovecraft "Magic of Christmas" Twine
Dovecraft "Magic of Christmas"  Adhesive Pearls
Dovecraft "Time to Sparkle" Glitter Tags
Dovecraft Glitter Glue - Red
Wonderland Mini Bows
Trimcraft First Edition Xmas Sentiments dies - FEDIE193X17
Dovecraft Gold washi tape (DCWTB019)
Dovecraft Crafters Glue
circle punch
double sided tape
die cutting machine

How to make it:

1. Score a piece of A4 white card in half on the long side and then trim to 15cm, reserving the piece which has been cut off.

2. Cut 1 piece of green spotty paper measuring 14.5cm x 14.5cm and 2 measuring 14.5cm x 5.5cm.
Cut 1 piece of holly paper measuring 14cm x 14cm and 1 measuring 14cm x 5cm. Cut a piece of holly wreath paper measuring 14cm x 5cm.

3. Layer the holly paper and holly wreath paper onto the green spotty paper and attach to the card as shown.

4. Mark the centre at the tops of the smaller sections and remove a semicircle with the circle punch.

5. Add double sided tape to the back of this part on the outside edges and bottom and also on both side of the centre fold as shown.

6. Slip this smaller section onto the base of the card so that the fold is at the outside edge of the card. One half should be on the front of the card and the other on the inside. This creates a pocket on the front for tags and also one on the inside for a gift token etc.

7. Add a line of glitter glue around the punched semicircle. Cut 2 tails of washi tape and adhere to the centre of the pocket. Add a poinsettia on top.

8. Die cut 2 NOEL sentiments - one in white card and the other in green spotty paper.

9. Cut out 2 pieces of patterned paper from the pack and glue on top of the tags. Add a line of glitter glue around the edges. Thread lengths of twine through the tops of the tags and add a bow and pearl on top of each.

10. Offset the white NOEL on top of the green one and glue to the top of the card. Place the tags in the front pocket.
Inside the card - this pocket can be used for a gift token/card.

Sending Best Wishes - Tonic Studios

Hello :) I've used the Tonic Studios "Sending Best Wishes Dimensional Embossing Folder and Die Set to create this card and added a "Tulip Swirl" die cut on top of the gold embossed corner to match.

The dimensional embossing looks fantastic!

Dachshing through the snow..

How cute is the little Dovecraft Dachshund die from Trimcraft! I've used a circle punch with some Christmas paper (from the Merry Little Christmas pad) to make him a little coat and added him on top of a scalloped circle die cut on the centre of the Santa Craft a Card die cut. I've also used dies from the First Edition "Garlands" and "Snowflakes" sets with Simply Creative gems to finish off.

Big decisions!

My big decision today is which one first! :)
I've been wanting to start these since they arrived but had to focus on other things first - now I'm ready to open them up and go for it!
I may be gone for a while...

Today's demo at the Art and Hobby Shop, Jervis Street, Dublin (and cards)

We've just arrived home now after another fantastic day in the Art and Hobby Shop, Jervis Street, Dublin in the company of these lovely ladies. The forecast was bad and I had several messages last night from some of the folk who were travelling quite a distance to say that they wouldn't be able to make it so I wasn't sure how many would be there. A special thanks to those who made it and I hope you got home safely. Thanks again to Stephanie and the rest of the staff. I hope you all enjoyed the day

Hexagon Box - Tonic Studios

It's a bit dreary outside today so I'm keeping busy with lots of crafting. This is a little box made with the Secret Spring Hexagon Kaleidoscope Box & Lid Base die set and the Simple Things Kaleidoscope Box Insert Panel die set. There are multiple dies in each set to create numerous different panel designs and these also work with larger die sets in the collection but I've kept mine quite simple and it still looks good :)

Belfast Castle today

David and I were working almost beside Belfast Castle today so we nipped in for a quick lunch. The grounds of the castle are beautiful in any kind of weather but the light today after yesterday's storm was just wonderful. The view across Belfast Lough from here is spectacular but we didn't have time to enjoy it much today - maybe next time :)
