Front flap card with heart

These new Tonic Studios Indulgence Affections dies are great for making much more than wedding/romantic cards...and work so well with other sets of dies, not only the other Affections dies.
I've used the Romantic Leaf set for this card and attached a little mini card on the front. I've added Emily corners in cream on top of  New Bloom (Trimcraft, First Editions) paper.

Mum - Hearts and butterflies card

You can see from all the new cards that the latest Tonic Studios Indulgence Affections dies coordinate perfectly with all the existing ones. It's a great way to expand your collection and make variations on a theme.
I've used the First Crush dies for the centre with the Square Vines as a base, then added Butterfly borders and the Mum sentiment die

This card folds flat for postage.

Mr & Mrs embossed hearts card

I've used the same Mr & Mrs die set as the last card but made a colourful one this time.
The flowers are made with the Peruvian Lily Punch and Stamp set and I've used the Verdant Vines die behind.

It's a Girl! Trimcraft baby girl project - how to make this card.

I've made this baby girl card using the gorgeous new Trimcraft First Editions It's a Girl 6x6 paper pad with the coordinating ribbon and I've taken photos along the way to show how I put it all together...

First of all you will need these items
PLUS Dovecraft 3D foam Squares

Tools..
Guillotine
Hot glue gun

How I made it
1. Matt a 14cm x 14cm square of the patchwork paper from the pad onto a 14.5cm x 14.5cm square of pink paper from the Dovecraft Colours paper pack and attach to the front of a scalloped card with double sided tape.

2. Take a 45cm length of the "stitched" ribbon. Add a dab of glue to one end of the stitching to make sure it holds in place, then gently unpick one end of the stitching at the opposite end. Pull this thread to form gathers.

3. Glue the gathered ribbon into a spiral and glue the back together with a hot glue gun. Add a button in the centre.

4. Cut a strip of hearts from the paper pad and matt onto a wider piece of pink paper. Attach this across the centre of the card with double sided tape.

5. Take a piece of ribbon twice the width of the card and add double sided tape along the back of it.

6.Add to the card just above the strip of pink paper as shown - adhere a little and then make a "fold".

 7. Add a 3D foam square to the left of the "fold".

8. Attach the "fold" to the 3D foam square and continue along the strip in the same way.

 9. Cut out 2 tags from the paper pad.

 10. Use a butterfly sticker from the front page.

 11. Attach to the card under the ribbon rosette with ribbon loops and 3D foam squares.

It's a Boy! Trimcraft First Edition papers

I had seen this template HERE on Pinterest a while ago and loved it but when I got the new Trimcraft First Edition "It's A Boy" papers, and saw the gorgeous patchwork pages I knew I'd have to adapt the sizes to fit.

It makes a cute little card which folds flat for postage :)

Demo at Holly's Hobbies, Newtownards

I'll be demoing Trimcraft Santoro and Letraset Promarkers at Holly's Hobbies in Newtownards on Saturday (31st May). It will be my first time there and I'm really looking forward to it - hope to see some of you there too :)

Irresistible!

I'm almost knee deep in paper and card today but couldn't resist this little bundle of fur!
Fortunately, he's not mine - I just kidnapped him from my neighbour's house fro a little while.
Guess who will be featuring on a scrapbook page soon?

Ok......back to work :(

Heart easel card

This is "one I made earlier"-I have quite a few posts still in drafts so thought I'd share this one with you today.
My favourite colour is turquoise and I've had this Papermania paper for ages and didn't want to use it but I thought it would go well with the Tonic Studios heart dies - Heart Base die,  All my Love and Someone Special.
I used the Delicate Lattice Border punch, some Verdant Vines and of course, the flowers were made with the Carnation Punch and Stamp set. I inked the edges of the petals with Camelia Versamark ink.

Papermill offer - 265gsm white card

I'm sure you know what to expect from me on Thursdays by now - the latest offer from Papermill :)
This week's offer is the beautiful  265gsm white card I've used in the photo above.
You can buy a small box for £5.00,
midi box for £13.50
and a mega box for £32.50

I made a dimensional card which folds flat for postage and you can see how the 265gsm card holds its shape well when die cut and used as the back of the card. I've also used it to punch a border along the bottom.

Check out the Papermill offer page HERE

The die I used for the back of the card is the Tonic Studios Indulgence Affections Square Base die with a Pick of the Bunch Rose stamp, coloured with Promarkers.
I used the Pelmet Bow Border deep edge punch along the bottom part.

Where did it go?

I've had my head down, internet mostly off......and have been busy making cards and scrapbooking - all things that I have to keep to myself for a while yet. However, in the middle of it all, my "baby" turned 20! Where did it go? I tried to get a photo while we were out for an Italian meal in Belfast but the light isn't good. Not long now till "big brother" will be 23...!

Pocket front card

This is another pocket front card - these can be addictive when you start! I've used the beautiful Trimcraft Santoro paper from the 12x12 pad on the front and paper from the Curiosity Corner 8x8 pad on the inside part.

The unusual fold gives a pocket which is just the right size for a heart tag - I've made the tag using the Tonic Studios Indulgence Affections Heart base dies and added a Birthday Wishes sentiment cut from matching paper.

The corners were made using the Pansy Bracket corner dies.

See you soon with more :)

Twisted Twine Intrica border punch

This is another of the new Tonic Studios Pick of the Day releases...the beautiful Twisted Twine Intrica border punch which matches the die set of the same name.
I've layered the border 3 times...it's hard to catch the silver without my pink top reflecting on it.

I've used the small die from the Twisted Twine die set to frame the "Mum" in the centre.

And my favourite Butterflies and double layered at the top :)

The card is Ocean Blue from Papermill

I'll be at Holly's Hobbies, 11 High Street, Newtownards, on May 31st to demo the beautiful Trimcraft Santoro range and Letraset Promarkers. If any of you are near that area I'd love to see you there :)

Tonic Studios Pick of the Day - new punches

If you saw the anniversary card I posted last evening and liked the dies I used, you'll be happy to know that there are gorgeous new deep edge Intrica border punches to match. ....and ,better still, the all time favourite Butterfly and Butterfly Flutter punches are now available as Intrica punches!
I've used the Romantic Vine Border punch on this card.

I've made the card with White linen and Buff card from Papermill.

Anniversary card - new Tonic Studios Pick of the Day dies

There's a brand new Tonic Studios Pick of the Day tomorrow - I've used dies from two of the sets on this tent card. The Beautiful Bramble Square creates a lovely frame effect which I thought would look good for a photo card. The photo itself is glued onto a die from the Romantic Vine Oval set - excuse the photo....it was taken almost 27 years ago!

"Pocket" card

Hi, I've used my favourite colour for this card and I hope the "Birthday Girl" likes it too...
The Tonic Studios Indulgence Heart base dies are perfect for creating a heart shaped tag which fits inside the "pocket" and the Happy Birthday is just the right size too :)
The beautiful paper is Trimcraft First Editions, Neroli (lush collection!!) and I've backed it with Dovecraft glitter card.

I made the matching flower with the Tonic Studios Carnation, Sweet William, Peony Punch and Stamp set and used a Verdant Vine die cut behind it. The corners are made with  the Tiara corner die set.
