Hey Baby! from Trimcraft

This is a little preview of a beautiful new release coming soon from Trimcraft. It's called "Hey Baby" and consists of 6x6, 8x8 and 12x12 paper pads along with an 8x8 decoupage pad.
I've used the 8x8 paper pad, decoupage pad as well as First Edition dies and buttons, gems and bows from the Simply Creative range.

The little tags are on a sheet inside the paper pads.

It's hard to believe that I knit this little cardigan about 27 years ago and it was worn by both of our sons!

Trying out my Edding pens

A little freehand practice with some brilliant Edding pens I was sent to try out. I I used the "colourpen brush" markers with the 0.3mm Fineliner pens.
I need a lot more practice but am happy with this for a start :)

Oxford Island, Lough Neagh, Co. Armagh for a second visit this week

Because the weather was pretty grim when we visited Oxford Island on Tuesday, we decided to go back again today. It was still a bit dull but what a beautiful place! We had lunch in the Discovery Centre and the gentleman at the desk in the centre pointed out all the best places to see.
This wooden pier out into Lough Neagh is just behind the cafe.

We took plenty of birdseed and the birds didn't waste any time in taking it :)

Scrabo, Co. Down

A few photos taken yesterday on a short trip to Scrabo, Co. Down. The sunlight was hitting the fields in shafts and looked amazing. I'm so thankful that we live in such a beautiful little country. Inside half an hour or less we can be in some pretty cool places.

Feeding the birds at Oxford Island, Lough Neagh, Co. Armagh

..and this happened yesterday! The birds were definitely the highlight of the visit to Oxford Island yesterday. Please excuse the blurry photos but I was so surprised and delighted at the birds eating out of our hands that I couldn't hold the phone steady! It's not easy to have a little fluttering bird eating seed out of your left hand while trying to get a photo with your right hand. Andrew was with us yesterday and the little birds came to all 3 of us.
Isn't that amazing!

Oxford Island, Lough Neagh, Co. Armagh

This afternoon's trip was to Oxford Island on the shores of Lough Neagh in Co. Armagh. When we arrived at first it was pouring down rain and very windy so we had a cup of tea and scone in the Discovery Centre until the sun came out again.
This is definitely on the list for a few more visits whenever we are able. The scenery and wildlife are amazing. I'll be posting some photos of the birds in my next blog post.

CS Lewis Square, Belfast

We stopped off at CS Lewis Square on the way home from Victoria Park.
There's still some construction work going on but it's well worth a visit.
