Wednesday was a weird kind of day. The heavy fog never lifted all day. We went to Holywood, Co. Down for a walk and couldn't even see the other side of Belfast Lough. We only knew the boats were in the lough because we could hear the foghorns.
The sea had been very rough and there were big mounds of shells which had been swept over the wall onto the path.
