It ends on Sat 25thSeptember.
Now to the card!
This is one I made for a lovely, elderly gentleman friend and I put a lot of thought into it.
I drew the Old Austin image especially for him and put his initials and year of birth on the number plate.
The maps are significant too as they show where he was born, educated and where he lives now so I highlighted those places with red gems. It certainly brought back a lot of memories when I gave him the card!!
Sometimes after I spend ages on a card it isn't what I intended but, for once, I am happy with how it turned out!
Places of note |
Glossy accents on the glass and lights |
I see, too, that it fits with the theme of this week's Cupcake Craft challenge which is Transport.
I can also enter it into A Spoonfull of Sugar ....anything goes
and Corrosive...unused stash....the maps which I've had for ages but not used yet
And another thing, I have now got a replacement Martha Stewart doily border punch and am very pleased with the service!!

ReplyDeleteRuth, this card is just amazing. I love the way it is personalised in so many ways, with the map and the locations pin-pointed, down to the number plate. Your friend must have been so thrilled with it x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Ruth, men are so hard to make cards for, good way of incorporating gems into a man's card. All that thought was worth it!
