Fairy Lantern - Mod Podge Sheer Colours and Extreme Glitter

I'm still trying out different things with the Mod Podge Sheer Colours - this time I've painted it onto a little lantern jar. I die cut a fairy shape from black card and attached it to the inside of the glass with Mod Podge. Then I painted outside of the jar with Purple Sheer Paint and coated it with a couple of layers of Extreme Glitter. I added a battery tealight inside.

You can see what it look s like in the dark below

I stippled 3 different colours (aqua, pink and purple) onto the jar with a sponge and then added the Extreme Glitter

  1. Hello Ruth. You mixed the colors and applied it at once, or you were applying one of each, hoping to dry one and then apply another color. Know some dye to mix in the Mod Pod, because Mod Pod colors here in Brazil are very expensive. It's a beautiful job, it looks a lot better than with napkins.

    1. Hi, I didn't mix the colours. I randomly sponged the colours at the same time and let them dry together. Thanks :)

  2. Another doubt. If you applied the Mod Pod colors in different steps, in what step did you apply glitter?

    1. I applied the glitter after the colours had dried.
