Trimcraft Gilded Winter - TUTORIAL

I made this Christmas card using the beautiful new Trimcraft Gilded Winter 6x6 paper pad along with some items from the other Trimcraft  range.

You'll need..
Dovecraft 15cm White Pearlescent card
Dovecraft  A5 Gold Glitter card
Trimcraft Gilded Winter 6x6 paper pad
Dovecraft Double sided tape
Dovecraft Perma Fix tape
Dovecraft Ultra Fine Glitter
Dovecraft Krafty Christmas Paper Blossoms
Winter Woodland Wooden Shapes
Dovecraft Premium Pigment Ink - Gold
Dovecraft Krafty Christmas Adhesive Pearls
Dovecraft Krafty Christmas Clear Stamps - Sentiments
La De Dah Metallic Journalling Pens
Dovecraft Super Value Crafters Glue

...and here's how to make it

1. Start with the 15cm square pearlescent card blank. Cut a 14.5cm square of glitter card and a 14cm square of snowflake paper from the Gilded Winter paper pad.

2. Attach to the card front with double sided tape.

3. Cut a strip of chevron paper measuring 6.6cm x 13.5cm.

4. Mark a line 3cm up from the bottom and mark the midway point.

5. Snip from each edge to the centre point to give a tag shape.

6 Add a strip of Perma Fix Tape across the top of the tag.

7. Sprinkle some Ultra Fine Glitter over the strip and tap off the excess - I've used the Dovecraft Tidy Tray to contain it.

8. Attach this to the card front with double sided tape.

9. Use the gold Metallic Journalling pen to draw faux stitching around the tag shape.

10. Dust the edges of 4 white paper blossoms and the wooden shape with the gold ink pad.

11. Glue to the front of the card. Add a pearl with a fine ring of glue around each to the flowers and sprinkle on some glitter.

12. Stamp the "It's Christmas" stamp onto a tag of chevron paper and cut a glitter tag slightly bigger to
layer it onto.

13. Glue this to the card front and add some pearls to the side of the small tag and to the top of the larger tag shape.

Santa has just been ;)

I've just had a delivery of lots of gorgeous Trimcraft Christmas goodies and just had to share some photos!

Umbrella - Rococo die

This Rococo Umbrella die is so delicate - it's more of a parasol, so I thought it would suit a little fringing along the edge and a tiny matching bow.
I've added it on top of a  two Delicate Lattice die cuts which I have layered onto a square embossed with the Amelia Embossing folder.

Inktense Pencils

I got a little time over the weekend to use some of my Derwent Pencils - I stamped one of my Roses with Stazon ink and used the Inktense pencils to colour the image, then used the same colours to create a matt for behind the scalloped oval. The paper is from the Trimcraft Floral Pavillion 6x6 pad.

The background die is Looking Glass Oval

and I've cut a Frond Finesse Swirl to finish

New Rococo dies by Tonic Studios

I'm sure there aren't many ladies who don't love a nice pair of heels...Well, here's a good excuse to add to your collection! Ok, so you can't actually wear them but just think how much use you'd get out of them!
I've been busy looking through my own shoes and sandals to see what would look well made out of card, so you'll be seeing more of these in the next days :)
This is, of course, the new Sassy Heels Rococo die by Tonic Studios - and the others in the Rococo collection are equally as gorgeous!

I have used the Daisy Lace Square die as a base on the twisted easel card and used the coordinating corner dies to make the "stopper". The ivory base was embossed with the Amelia embossing folder.

Threaded Scallop Circle layering dies - new from Tonic Studios

Last card from me today!
Here's another staple die set to add to your collection - the new Threaded Scallop Circle Layering dies  - which work perfectly with the original Circle layering dies. They look great used just as they are but you have also the option of adding twine, embroidery thread or fine ribbon through the holes.
These will be released on Ideal World tomorrow at 9.00pm along with some beautiful Christmas dies.

I've used my Crab Apple Blossom digi image from A Passion for Stamps and coloured it with Promarkers.
The paper is Family Ties by Trimcraft.

Delicate Heart - Rococo die

This is the beautiful little Delicate Heart Rococo die used on top of the Swirly Frame die.
I've added two Intrica Butterflies and the Just for You sentiment die a long with a Daisy Lace border.

Heels - Rococo Die

This gorgeous strappy shoe die is so ornate in itself that it doesn't need much added to the card but since I have a pair of turquoise shoes with gold heels and an embossing folder to match (!) I cut out the heel in gold and added it on top.
The Sassy Heels die is one of the new Tonic Studios Rococo dies.
The little Emily corner die and the gold Frond Finesse swirls look like they were made to match :)

Charlotte Cameo Rococo die with Royal Frame die

Another Rococo die card - the next show on Create and Craft with these new dies is at 6.00pm.
The Charlotte Cameo die has already sold out on it's own but, so far, you can still buy it as part of the set.

I love the way so many of the Tonic Studios dies work together! This has got to be my favourite combination at the moment -the Charlotte Cameo die on top of a layered rectangle on a Royal Frame die cut.
I punched the lovely border with the Wild Vine Intrica deep edge border punch.

Umbrella half cut card - Rococo die

Here's another card with the Tonic Studios "Weekender" - there is a show on at the moment :)
This lovely little Rococo Umbrella die cut fits perfectly inside the Looking Glass die cut.
I've made a half cut card so that the umbrella sits up above the fold line.
I punched a border with the gorgeous Intrica Twined Lily border punch and added two double Intrica Butterflies.

Charlotte Cameo and Umbrella Rococo dies

Another of the beautiful new Rococo dies from Tonic Studios!
These will be launched on Create and Craft this evening in a 2 hour show starting at 6.00pm.

For this card I've cut out the centre of the Charlotte Cameo die and cut off the end of the Umbrella die before placing them both on top of a Love Arch die cut...they are both just the right size to do this.
I made the little matching flowers with a punch from the Rose, Pansy Punch and Stamp set and punched a border with the Dotty border punch.

Christmas in July at Papermill

It's time for Christmas in July at Papermill!
We know how organised most crafters are so this week we have an offer on card that you can use to get a head start on your Christmas cards.

Post Box Red and Forest Green with 15% off
Small Box (approximately 80 Sheets) only £5.73
Mid Box (approximately 260 Sheets) only £17.00

I've used Papermill white hammered card to make the card base then coloured the Christmas Candle digi image from A Passion for Stamps with Promarkers.
I layered the image onto Tonic Studios Oval Layering dies and matted onto a Forest Green Tea Party Square base die cut.
The "O Holy Night" was cut with the Tonic Studios Christmas Sentiment set 2 die.

Sassy Heels and Delicate Fan - Rococo dies Twisted easel card

The gorgeous new Rococo dies by Tonic Studios will be released at 6.00pm on Create and Craft - in a 2 hour long show!
With such  beautifully ornate dies there is really not much you need to add to make elegant looking cards.
I've used the Twined Lily die set to frame the shoe on a twisted easel card and used the Delicate Fan die as the "stop" on the base. Because the dies are fine I didn't use 3D foam pads. Instead I left a little edge of the fan unstuck to prop the top part up.
I have embossed the black base with the Amelia Embossing folder but it's not showing up very well in the photos.
This is the pair of my shoes which gave me the idea for using these colours ;)

Heart gatefold card

Looks like a gorgeous day out there. Let's hope the bugs have all gone or I'll be staying indoors all day. I got badly bitten at a BBQ on Saturday and took some kind of reaction. Strange how it was Monday before it got so bad :(  - anyhow it's on the mend now :)

...and on to today's card.
Lots of hearts on this one :)  I made an "off centre" gatefold card with overlapping hearts cut with the Tonic Studios Affections "First Crush" dies and added a Butterfly border along the wider edge.
The paper is Tonic Studios Birds on a Branch and I've added some Copper Stickles to match the hearts on the paper.

Just for you Heart Easel card

There's something about the way an easel card sits up that makes it look so good - but I'm not no sure everyone who gets one in the post knows exactly what to do with one!
Anyhow...I made this one with the Tonic Studios Affections Square Vine base dies and added Just for You in the centre. I've used the Intrica Romantic Vine deep edge border punch along the base and added some Intrica Butterflies and Fanciful Flourish die cuts.
