LED Flexilens Review

Hi, I've been asked to do a product review on the naturalight LED Flexilens with Base and Clip.

I was really happy to get my hands on one of these because I had heard good reports already. I am certain that I will never let this gadget stray too far from my workdesk and I so wish that I had got one before my eye surgery in January - it would have saved me hours of precious time and many headaches.
I'll not bore you with the details as many of you already know this...but just over 20 years ago I tore a piece out of my cornea when trying on a new jumper  - I stupidly kept my eyes open when taking it off and the cardboard label did it's nasty job on my right eye.. The result was that I badly damaged the sight and it got much worse over the years.Up until January of this year I have had to do any drawing and colouring with my right hand while keeping my left hand firmly pressed over my right eye to try to focus. It was extremely frustrating, time consuming and downright uncomfortable. Why did I not know about the Flexilens until now??? It would have been the perfect answer!

Anyhow I have had surgery now but I can still see a lot of great uses for this crafty product. My main craft is cardmaking but I know that people who sew or do cross stitch would also benefit.

It uses 3 x AAA batteries to power the Ultra bright dual daylight LEDS which give super daylight effect - so much cleaner than the yellowish tone of ordinary light. The batteries ( not supplied) provide up to 40 hours of power.

I love to stamp and colour with Promarkers, quite often using finely detailed stamps, so I took some photos of how I can use the Flexilens to help.

You can see the extra large 2.0X magnifier and inset lens showing all the detail on the stamped rose leaf.

The flexible arm is great for positioning over your project.

This is a great extra feature....the base has a clip which you can use to attach your magnifier to the worksurface if you don't have room to set it up on top beside your work....

.....or you can slide out the legs from the base and it becomes freestanding.

It also comes with a cleverly designed little pouch which slips over the lens to protect it when you are not using it.
