Santoro Mirabelle - Singing in the Rain card tutorial

This card has been made with the beautiful new Santoro A4 and 6x6 papers from Trimcraft and I've added lots of inking and glitteraround the edgWeddinges of the paper and diecuts.

To make this card you will need:
Dovecraft 6x6 Kraft card
Santoro Mirabelle A4 paper pad (SNPAD012)
Santoro Mirabelle 6x6 paper pad (SNPAD013)
Santoro Mirabelle Glitter Dots
Trimcraft First Edition dies  - Wildlife
Trimcraft First Edition dies  - Weather
Trimcraft First Edition dies  - Border
Trimcraft First Edition dies  - Wedding
Dovecraft Glitter Glue - Crystal
Dovecraft Premium Pigment ink pad - Cocoa Brown
Dovecraft Crafters Glue
Dovecraft Foam Tape
double sided tape
3D foam squares
white card
die cutting machine

 How to make it:
 1. Lightly distress the front edges of a 6x6 kraft card and add ink. Cut a piece of pink spotty paper measuring 14.5cm x 14.5cm and a piece of bird cage paper measuring 14cm x 14cm. Distress the edges of both with scissors and add ink.
NB. to get this size of birdcage pattern I have used the A4 paper.

 2. Cut an piece of pink spotty paper to measure 14cm x 5.5cm  and a piece of pink heart paper to measure 13cm x 3.5cm. Distress and ink the edges of both pieces.
NB. To get this size of heart pattern I have used 6x6 paper

 3. Attach these pieces to the card front as shown, using foam tape under the spotty paper.

 4. Die cut 4 clouds - 2 from white card and 2 from music paper. I have used 6x6 paper to get the music pattern small enough for the clouds. Die cut the bird from white card. Ink the edges of all the pieces.

 5. Glue the white clouds to the card, then add the music clouds, offsetting slightly. Glue the bird to the centre the card.

 6. Die cut a white border and ink the edges. Glue to the card below the bird and add glitter dots.

 7. Use the heart die from the Wedding set to cut out 4 hearts (each pas will cut two ) and ink the edges.

 8. Glue to the card as shown. Add Glitter Glue. Add Glitter Glue to the clouds and the border die.
Cut a little butterfly from the inside cover of the 6x6 paper pad. Attach to the card with 3D foam squares.

9. You will find several little embellishments on the inside cover of the paper pad which can be cut out and used on your cards etc.

Pick n Mix pocket pocket front card - Trimcraft

Hi :)  I've got another card which I made with the Pick n Mix papers from Trimcraft. I've used the dark paper at the back to emphasise the yellows and pinks of the other papers and made a pocket with a little tag.

I've made borders with the Trimcraft Border dies and used the Princess die set for the sentiment and gems. The flower and heart shaped buttons are from the Simply Creative collection and the topper is from the Monochrome Goody Bag.

Day out with friends from Tokyo

No work this weekend :) We had friends over from Japan (my penpal from when I was 13!!) Sayuri and Kazuhide had come to visit us about 9 years ago for  the first time and this was their second visit to Belfast. First stop - St. George's Market and a meet up with Jennifer, another blast from the past (we were in the same class at High School).

Jennifer makes beautiful jewellery which you can find at Cornucopia in St. George's Market, Belfast.

At the fish counter

Kazuhide sampling the delights of good old Northern Ireland dulse for the first time - not impressed! lol
David loves his dulse (and yellowman if there's any around!)

Sayuri checking out a new veg - parsnips :)

By request we took them to see the famous murals of Belfast - although we did take them to see the ones they asked for I thought these were the nicest ones.

Sayuri in the grounds of Belfast Castle.

I'm sharing a card today which I made with the new Tonic Studios Classic Quatrefoil Patterned Panel die set. It's a Thank You card for a lovely gentleman who David was working for a couple of weeks ago. When David had finished he gave him an envelope with some money inside to treat ourselves to a lovely meal :)

I've also used the Sweet Melia, Sunburst Gazania, Thinking of You Essential set and Many Thanks dies.

Pretty Posy pocket card - Trimcraft

This has got to be one of the easiest cards to make from 12x12 paper.
If you haven't tried this shape yet you might like to look at my tutorial for the basic shape HERE.

For this card I have used Trimcraft's Pretty Posy paper pad again. I love the checks and florals together :)
I also used Trimcraft's Border, Wildlife and Pinking Edge Nesting dies to decorate.

Back to porridge

I'm just surfacing again after the craft show in Belfast last weekend. It was a pleasure, as always, to be working for Mark and Mel for the three days and also to be able to catch up with lots of you whom I haven't seen for a while.
The Tonic dies right across the board were going well as usual and the Sew Pretty ones in particular were really popular. I have to say I was loving demoing the new Groovi board and plates from Claritystamp as well! I hope you all have as much fun with your plates and dies when you get them home as I had making the samples and demoing at the show.
David, of course, was also at the show for the three days with me, and that's always an added bonus!
