Rhododendrons

The sky seems to be falling on us here in Northern Ireland at the moment - it hasn't stopped raining for days.
That's my excuse for the photo! The card is actually a beautiful shade of lilac.

Add to that the fact that our house is upside down while a new bathroom is being fitted and you'll get the picture....
Some of you will know that I have worked for several years in interior design and property renovation, and over the years I've been working on countless bathroom refurbs. I love choosing, planning and working on it all. Well, I don't like it happening in MY house!! I've put it off till it couldn't wait any longer.

The card - I've used my drawing of a Rhododendron (available HERE) and mounted it on a circle cut with Tonic Studios Circle Shape Mate and embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.
Then I added a little trim around the circle using my Victorian border punch like so...

The ribbon is threaded through the Tonic Studios riblet punch and the Butterfly came from the Tonic Studios Multi Detail Butterfly punch.

Tonic Studios are updating their website at the moment so I'll add the links next week.
Have a lovely weekend, Ruth :)

  2. Beautiful card Ruth. Love your Rhododendron. Fab layout and colours. Whenever I photograph cards I have made using purple/lilac they always come out as blue in the photo! Tinaxx

  6. Gorgeous card, Ruth! I love the way you've used the border punch to trim around the circle - very clever. The rhododendrons are blooming beautifully up here at the moment, and I've been looking for a stamp which would do them justice. Your drawing is just lovely, so I'm off to buy a copy forthwith!

The weather has been quite atrocious here too today. I have just put some photos on my blog of the river in flood. http://creativelynks.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/flaming-june.html
