Last evening I gathered a bunch of honeysuckle from the back garden and put it in the kitchen. The scent from it is amazing!!I have it in various places in the garden where I can take best advantage of it and the only benefit of the damp weather we are having at the moment is that it smells even better!!
Of course, I had to draw some of it.....and here is the result. You can find it as a digi image HERE along with my other new drawings.
The card is made using the sketch from Mojo Monday and it also fits the Allsorts challenge this week (summer days). Just looking at the flower on the card makes me think of summer in the garden.
I think the shading you get with Promarkers shows up really well on floral cards!
One more thing....
I've been enjoying looking for alternative ways to use my punches lately and have a few ideas to share HERE
The punch I used differently on this one is the Woodware swirl punch, and I love the result! Have a look at the page mentioned and let me know what you think!
If anyone can advise me how to add new posts to another page of a blog (ie not have to keep editing the same page), please let me know!

Aqua rose and rosette
Good afternoon! I've made another card using my "single rose" digi image available from A Passion for stamps...
As usual, it's been coloured with Promarkers and I've cut it out and mounted it onto a rosette made with a Martha Stewart doily border punch.
I've done lots of Cuttlebugging and also used a paper crimper on the leaves and a border punch. As a final touch I added some lace behind the image.
I have added a couple of little tips for punches on another page and you can see them HERE
I'm entering this card into the following challenges..
Stamp Something.....digital
Frosted Designs ....border punches
Alphabet Challenge Blog....L is for Lace

Black-eyed Susan digi image
Today I've made a card with my new Black-eyed Susan image which you can buy from HERE.
I don't usually use much yellow or orange in my card making but after a look around the garden while I was drawing more flowers I thought I really should be using more of these vibrant colours in my work.
The paper is My Minds Eye and I've used a Martha Stewart border punch (doily) on the corners
I have made a little tutorial on how I do this for Becky and friends from Paper Craft Planet and hopefully will add more soon..
You will find the tutorial HERE

Color Throwdown 100!
If you haven't seen the fantastic prizes on offer over at Color Throwdown you should head straight over and look for yourself!! The colours for the challenge are regal rose, certainly celery, real red and baja breeze so I chose some Papermania Bloomsbury Gardens paper and teamed it with some red gingham ribbon. I forget the name of this card fold so you can let me know if you like..
While you are checking out the Color Throwdown challenge you'll be amazed at the variety and skill of the DT.I added myself as a follower of several of their blogs and am working my way through lots of "old" posts!

Arbour
I've made this card over a few days, adding bits and pieces when I think of something else!
It's a drawng of the arbour in my garden where I relax when I get the chance. The image is available from here.
My actual arbour isn't painted blue but I thought it suited this card better in blue. I've added lots of detail, some of which is only visible in close up.
I made the little roses on the climber by coiling a small spiral punched shape and gave the white flowers some depth by using an embossing tool.
There is glossy accents on the tumbler, bowl and plant pot, as well as glitter on one of the plants.

Crafty Calendar Challenge time again!
Where on earth did the last month go? Is it just me or does time really fly?
Anyhow, It's time for another Crafty Calendar Challenge and this month the theme is "summer holidays" with the added optional extra of adding the colour yellow to the card somewhere.
The image I've used is "Jenny at the beach" from my own stamp collection A Passion for Stamps and the remaining clear stamps from the range are all half price as you'll see in the sidebar.
I've chalked the sky and made a little windbreak from striped paper and cocktail sticks coloured with a browm Promarker.
As well as this being my DT card I'm also entering it onto the Papertake challenge......stitches (around the windbreak)
Paperplay...card for a child or teenager

Blue tit card
Good morning. Believe it or not I've been adding bits and bobs to this card for the last few days...
I saw this beautiful shape of card on Elaine's blog but couldn't work out how to get it together, so this is my interpretation.
The image is one of my own drawings which you'll find along with others at A Passion for Stamps and I've coloured it with Promarkers and sponged the background with chalk and a little cloud template which I cut out freehand.
I made the 3 different types of flowers and I'll be showing you how I did this in a day or two when I get a chance to sort out the pics.
The challenges I'm entering are;
Allsorts.... Embossing
Crafty Catz...Digital
Our Creative Corner....blues and greens
Stamp Something...vintage and flowers
Corrosive....lots of flowers
Just reminding you that all remaining clear stamps are reduced and you'll see the prices in the sidebar.
