Wildflower Flower Wonderland (affiliate)

Are you ready for a burst of sunshine and some colourful flowers? I've used the Wild Flower Wonderland Stamp Club from Tonic Studios to make 2 different but equally colourful cards.

There are beautiful floral stamps with coordinating dies which can be used to make toppers and also a cute little hummingbird and butterfly with dies to match.

My first card is a shaker card and the second is a layered aperture and I have coloured the stamped images on both with Nuvo alcohol markers from Tonic.

Quick and Easy Scrapbook Page - cute little pocket idea! #affiliate

 

I was tidying up today (again!!) and came across a wedding photo and some bits and pieces which inspired me to make a very quick and simple scrapbook. We've been married for almost 35 years so I was quite surprised to find a little packet of confetti tucked in with some letters and mementos.

Tonic Studios Craft Kit - Country Apron Step by Step (#affiliate)

The Country Apron Craft Kit from Tonic has all the dies etc for you to make a gorgeous little apron shaped gift box. You could also use the apron on a card. (see photo below)

To make the Apron shaped box in the first photo you will need 

Tonic Studios Craft Kit - Country Apron

Craft Perfect Hi Tack Tape

Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive

Silver Mirror Card

To Make it - 

1. Die cut 2 outer apron shapes and two rectangles with tabs from the Ivory Smooth Card.

2. Using the 2 dies shown, die cut the inner apron shape from Cornflower Blue card twice.

3. Using the 2 rectangle dies shown, die cut the striped shape twice from Cornflower Blue card.

4. Glue the striped die cuts to the ivory shapes.

5. Die cut the pockets from blue card and adding glue where shown, attach to the apron shapes.

6. Die cut the tools from silver card.

7. Glue the tools into the pockets. Die cut blue "neck ribbon" and glue in place.

8. Add hi tack tape along the tabs on the side and bottom panels.

9. Glue the bases together ie one on top of the other.

10. Attach the panels to the apron as shown. Repeat with the other apron.

11. Die cut an ivory pocket and stamp Happy Father's Day onto it. Glue on top of the blue pocket, leaving a little strip showing at the top.

12. Die cut a blue heart and glue beside the sentiment.

Who doesn't love a dinky, retro typewriter! This Showcase stamp and die set is called Loveable Library and contains, not only a trio of dies which build up a layered typewriter, but some other beautiful stationery themed dies and stamps which can be used for many different types of cards.

In my video I have layered up the typewriter dies on 2 of my cards but used totally different colour combinations to show that it can be used for both male and female cards.

I loved the versatility of the edger die which can be elongated to suit any length of card/paper you want. I have used it for a paper edge and also as a cute border as it reminded me of a bobble/pompom ribbon.

I've also die cut the glasses and used Morning Dew Crystal Drops to make them pop!

Sew Happy! Tonic Studios Showcase Stamp and Die Set (affiliate)

 This Sew Happy stamp and die set is the latest from Tonic's Showcase collection.

The beautiful sewing machine die just had to be made into an easel card! There 's a real vintage feel to this set so I used the lovely Beautiful Memories paper pad and added a pop of bling with gold mirror card and gold glitter embossing on the sentiments and clothes.

I loved the cute little safety pin and the stitched label and really, I could have made so many more cards if I had time at the moment. The dies and stamps are not all vintage/ retro as there are quite a few like the zippers etc which could be used on more contemporary cards.
