Forever Free papers from Trimcraft

I'm not getting as much time to make cards at the moment so it's just as well I have lots already made and photographed
This is another card I made with Trimcraft's beautiful new Forever Free papers. The Dovecraft Rabbit stamp works really well with these papers.
I used the Build a Unicorn dies to make the flowers on the right and a Dovecraft die for the heart on the left.

I coloured the rabbit with Promarkers.

It's just life..

Today I'm sharing something which is a lot more private than my usual posts, but I'm hoping it will be a benefit to a lot of my friends. Last night was the last session of the Stress Control classes which I have been attending and I would highly recommend them to anyone who has the opportunity to go along. It's a six week course which covers almost every aspect of stress known to man. It's delivered in a very "no nonsense", sensible way with a few laughs thrown in. None of us is immune from stress and we all need the necessary tools to cope with it when we are dealing with it. Stress levels have been very high at home with our present situation and I have found the subjects covered and information given really helpful on a daily, almost hourly basis.

The fact that the classes were held only 5 minutes from home was also a great bonus because it meant that I could go for the 1 1/2 hours each week knowing that David was never alone at home, always tucked up in bed, usually asleep and completely supportive.
Check out the Stress Control NI Facebook page for more information, including where the next classes will be held.
The classes are FREE and were run by the Monkstown Village Initiative in conjunction with the Northern Trust.

Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine - Christmas 2018 issue (189)

Christmas is definitely on the cards in the newest edition of Cardmaking & Papercraft Magazine! It's packed with gorgeous Christmas papercraft ideas and has a super free gift of Crafter's Companion papers and a Frosty Christmas die set.
My commission for this issue is a set of bendi cards using Trimcraft's Build a Scene dies and Christmas Village papers.. I loved making these and hope you enjoy them too.
Dimensional cards make a beautiful display on the mantlepiece and the bonus with these is that they also fold flat for postage :)

Folk Art Marbling Paint by Plaid Crafts

This was a little experiment I did by pouring Plaid Crafts Folk Art Marbling Paint on the inside of a couple of bottles and swirling it around. The result is really beautiful. I've set them aside to include in a longer post when I finish the rest of the samples I've been working on.

I've a busy week ahead with appointments but will keep in touch as much as possible.

With Love at Christmas - Trimcraft

 Another little Christmas card ❄️

This time I've used the Trimcraft Christmas Characters (FEDIE258x18), Snowflakes (FEDIE256x18) and Build a Scene Log Cabin (FEDIE249x18) dies with the Jolly Holidays paper pad.
I used a Dovecraft 5x7 circle aperture as a base with Christmas washi tape along the top and lots of Simply Creative gold gems .

Snow Globe - Trimcraft

Good morning, this is another quick and easy Christmas card which I've made using the Trimcraft Craft a Card "6x6 Snow Globe" die (FEDIE260x18). Great for a 6x6 card but I think it looks even better in the centre of an 8x8 card. I've added some snowflakes which I made with FEDIE 256x18. The paper is from the Dovecraft "Festive Wonder" pad.
If you're not ready for Christmas cards yet, you can come back to this one for later as it doesn't take long to make, but just make sure you have the die on time

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

As it's Breast Cancer Awareness month, I'm reminding you again of the importance of mammograms and checks. This time 3 years ago I was having daily radiotherapy after surgery for breast cancer 4 months earlier. It was detected by a routine mammogram and, although it was a massive shock, I'm so thankful that I didn't cancel the appointment.

Also, just to keep you up to date with David's case...he's still having chemotherapy at the moment for bowel cancer and the plan is to start daily radiotherapy in around 2 -3 weeks time, lasting for 5 weeks. If you can have a test for either of these cancers, do it!
Ok, I used the Tonic Studios Legacy Keeper Wallet die set with Kaisercraft "Secret Garden" papers to make this cute little pocket album

Little treat at Belfast Castle

I've come to the conclusion that a little treat now and then, however small, just fitted in to an otherwise mundane day goes a long way to making you feel better. Well, that's my excuse for doing a detour on the way home from a Dr.'s appointment to stop off at Belfast Castle to have a hot chocolate and a dander around the grounds. Of course, I'd love David to be able to walk around with me as usual but he's not fit to do that now and I took some (actually lots) of photos to show him what I'd seen.
