Maroon card offer at Papermill

Good morning.........It's time for another offer from Papermill!
This week you can buy a small box ( approx. 80 sheets) of maroon 270gsm card for £4.00
It's great quality and is a lovely rich colour.
I've used it to make this card for Mother's Day with Papermill white hammered card for contrast.
I've used the Tonic Studios Delicate lattice border punch along the sides and the Affections Square base die and Mothers Day die in the centre.

it's a small box of Maroon 270gsm card £4.00 for approximately 80 sheets xx

Kaya and Lori scrapbook page

Aww.....aren't they so cute? This is Kaya and Lori, my 2 little great nieces - dressed to kill as always!!

I've made a scrapbook page with their two photos using Simple Stories "Hey Mom" floral 12 x 12 paper and some Tonic Studios punches and dies.

I made the flowers with the Rose, Pansy Punch and Stamp set and coloured a Santoro metal button with a Promarker to match.

I've added Pansy Arch corners to the photos

Love Arch border punch and buttons

Mazarine Blue butterflies double layered.

The photos are so cute I didn't want to add anything else :)

Trimcraft La de Dah

Another Trimcraft sample  - this time it's a page from the Trimcraft La de Dah journal. I've added lots of elements from the La de dah range .
Just in case you were wondering....we were at wedding! :)

Scrapping with Santoro

Good morning........I've been busy making samples over the last while and haven't had much time to post photos but today I am sharing a photo of my latest scrapbook page. The paper and all the embellishments are from the Trimcraft Santoro range and I've added some stencilling at the top with Reeves Iridescent medium for a subtle effect.

I fussy cut some butterflies from the A4 paper pad and added them to the top of the wooden butterflies.

Have a lovely weekend :)

Elegant Drape border punch

I've always been a big fan of Tonic Studios border punches but I really have fallen for the gorgeous new Intrica patterns! This one is Elegant Drape border and is stunning! There are so many ideas in my head for this.....
Next show on Create and Craft is at 12.00 - that's NOW!!

I had better make a move  - another delivery has just arrived and has been sitting at my front door begging me to open it.  :)

Sneak peak at some samples for demo at Paperworks, Dungannon

For once I'm getting a little ahead of myself and have got a few samples made for my demo at Paperworks in the Linen Green, Dungannon on 29th March.
I've got a lot going on at the moment so I need to get things made and set aside.
There is so much gorgeous new stock in the shop (and for my samples) I'm going to have to treat myself too - lots of natural colours and textures.
I'll be demoing lots of Tonic Studios dies, punches etc along with some Trimcraft Santoro stock as well.
Hope to see lots of my "old" friends there as well as some new ones :)

Fairy and bird cage

This is a little birdcage I made from the Tonic Studios die at a couple of demos I did. I was asked to show how I did it on my blog - sorry for the delay! Anyhow, since the Tonic new release today is of Fairy dies I took the chance to add one to my cage  - you can fill it with little treats :)

1. Die cut 4 of the bird cages and doors.

2. Cut 4 strips of card measuring 6 cm x 1cm and fold in half lengthwise.

3. Glue the strips to the cages as shown.

4. You need to fold back the little parts at the bottom as above.

5. Glue all 4 together.

It should look like this.

6. Cut a piece of card measuring 8cm x 8 cm and score in 1cm at all sides.

9. Snip all 4 corners as above.

10. Glue together to make a "bottom" for the cage.

11. Glue all the edges and attach to the inside base of the cage.

12. Tie the top together with ribbon or raffia as shown.

2 in 1 card - Papermill offer with Tonic Studios new release...

Good evening! I hope you're all feeling a lot better than I am :(
I had an appointment in Dublin on Monday and started getting hoarse on the way home - after Frankie and Bennys, of course! I blamed it on the fact that I had talked so much during the day..........hard to believe, I know ;) but that was just the start. It got worse and worse till I was flat on my back in bed all day yesterday and every time I tried to lift my head off the pillow I thought it was going to burst.

But it's Thursday - time for another great offer from Papermill and also time to share a card made with one of the gorgeous new dies from Tonic Studios which you can see from 8.00am tomorrow on Create and Craft!!

Now the card offer is a Mega Box A4 Pigmented white plain card - 270gsm
for £35.00.
You will receive approx 645 A4 sheets for just £35.00
You can see the offer details HERE

And now the dies.....:)
This card is made with the Moonglade Wish die - I've used the same side twice. I really loved the star theme so I used the You're a Star sentiment and some punched mini stars along with the Amelia embossing folder on the piece of card inside.
Don't forget to tune in as there are lots of beautiful dies and stunning deep edge border punches coming tomorrow!!

Some more Trimcraft Santoro stamps coloured with Promarkers

I thought I'd colour this one completely differently from the colours suggested on the "Butterfly" stamp packet - turquoise is my favourite colour :). I used Cool Aqua and Duck Egg for the dress.
The really quick and easy easel card was made from a 5x7 Trimcraft embossed white card and the striped paper is from the Santoro A4 paper pad.

I coloured the "Adrift" stamp with Promarkers and added texture to the boat with a fine nib.

Promarkers on Santoro stamps

I love my Promarkers  - they are always right beside me and used at every opportunity :) so I was glad of the opportunity to colour some of my new Santoro stamps from Trimcraft.
The fine nibs are great to use for the finer detail such as tight corners or "points" but I love the way I was able to create the pattern on the jacket here by overlaying Marsh Green with a fine nib onto Apple..

I've coloured the wooden keys with Promarkers and threaded them onto the ribbon on this one to match the stamp colours.

Daffodil Yellow card offer at Papermill

If you need something to brighten up your day, check out this week's great offer from Papermill
This week's offer is the beautiful Daffodil Yellow cardstock which I've used in the card and pillow box above.
You can see the offer page HERE -

240gsm Daffodil Yellow cardstock for the bargain price of £2.00 for 20 A4 sheets

I have matted it onto Smooth grey cardstock (also from Papermill) and embossed it with the Cuttlebug Honeycomb 5x7 embossing folder. The hexagonal die cut in the centre is from the Tonic Studios Lily Window die and I've used the coordinating Bee stamp from the Clear Stamp die Toppers set. The flowers were made with the Carnation Punch and Stamp set and the sentiment is a "cut up and rearranged" version of the Everyday Sentiments 1.
The pillow box is also from another Tonic Studios die.

Baby Scrapbook page

I thought it was about time I shared some of my scrapbooking with you....I know I am best known as a cardmaker but there are some other things which I'll probably share here soon too.

I've had the 12x12 page for a couple of years - it's from Best Creation Inc. California and just found it again while I was having a bit of a craft room revamp. The rest of the papers used are First Editions - New Leaf and Boho Chic.
....then I got busy with my Tonic Studios dies and punches :)
The large heart shape is the Indulgence Affections Heart Base and I've cut 2 slightly smaller ones from the same set.

I've added Fanciful Flourish Swirls at the base with flowers made from the Rose/Pansy Punch and Stamp set.

The butterflies are from the Mazarine Blue die set.

There is a Victorian border punched and added along the bottom of the page.

Last - but not least - I used the Amelia embossing folder to give texture to the large 8x8 square of patterned paper behind the photo and die cuts.

If you like scrapbooking ideas  - keep an eye here as I'm going to be showing you more of my pages soon :)

Another Scrapbook page

Another page with the Trimcraft Santoro range - I've used a combination of A4 and 12x12 papers as well as chipboard elements, lace ribbon etc.
You can see these better here...
Lovely texture on the butterfly paper..
