Unfortunately I have had to make a Sympathy card for a good friend.I always struggle with finding the right image etc for these so that's why I added a couple of elegant flower images when I released my new stamp collection.
Here,I have used the orchid but the Morning Glory stamp works equally well.
I have entered this card for the RosieDee challenge as the theme this time is a sympathy or "thinking of you" card

Image ..........Orchid from A Passion for Stamps
Coloured with Promarkers

Wedding Stationery

This is the wedding stationery I have just finished for my MIL.......
As you can see,I've used the Cuttlebug and Martha Stewart doily border punch till my hands are sore!!
Thanks Erin for the favour box idea!

Another double challenge

The sketch at DieCut Dreams leaves a lot of scope to add your own ideas and the guidelines at Cupcake Craft Challenges are to use green, pink and brown with animals and flowers so I've used the kitten stamp from my own new collection which I have started to sell this week.

Double Challenge card

Where has the last week gone.......?
I've been so busy getting my stamp collection up and running it I thought I'd never make another card.
My son(who is 18 today) has put a lot of effort into helping with the packaging and logo to match my blog and I really couldn't have done it without him!
Anyway onto the card........
It's a double challenge combining Passion for Promarkers challenge with Sketch Saturday.
I've used one of my new stamps..Morning Glory coloured with Promarkers(Rose pink and lime for the challenge) and Blueberry Hill paper,Martha Stewart doily border punch and a couple of Woodware punches.
Please have a look at apassionforstamps and let me know what you think,Ruth x

TPE

I'm getting impatient now to get my stamp collection "off the ground" but have still some sample and blog work to get sorted.
However,I've used another image from the collection for this week's The Pink Elephant challenge as the theme is "animals".
There have been lots of side step cards on Docrafts lately but this is the first time I've tried it.Before the card was decorated I had a play around with a couple of other images which I think would suit this shape,so I'm sure I'll be making some more.
What I've used;
Papers...............DCWV Retro prints
Image................my own drawing coloured with Promarkers
Ribbon...............Ribbonz
Mouse and paw........Lakeland
Cat punch............Au Naturel

Allsorts challenge

The Allsorts challenge this week is to use "one of anything" and I've just realized how difficult that really is! I tend to use things in 3's or 2's but didn't actually notice that I never really use single items until I kept reaching out for another of this and that..

Anyhow this is one of my images which I have made into stamps and I really hope to have these ready to sell by the end of the week.

The image is "Jenny in bed" from my own collection, coloured with Promarkers
Paper........Dasiy and Dandelion/Picnic Patch
Gem..........Jewellery Seal
and flower from a Docraft buddy.

Enjoy your day...I'm off to paint a ceiling!

Stamp Something

This will be my last card of the day!
I've used the sketch from the Stamp Something challenge as it had the simplicity I wanted for this image.
I drew this orchid to use for Sympathy,Get Well,Thinking of You etc type of cards but have also used it for birthday cards, too. It's the kind of image which can be used to different effect depending on the sketch/layout.
I've used Promarkers ,as usual,Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder,Martha Stewart doily punch and ribbon which I bought loose from a craft shop in Belfast which is relocating
This is another of the images which has been made into stamps and which will be available to buy from apassionforstamps very soon.
Enjoy your weekend! Ruth x

I've added a few photos which were taken during the week..

Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge

Dunluce Castle

Filming of "Your Highness" by Universal at Dunluce Castle

Friday Sketchers

This has got to be a record for me.....3 posts in one day!!!
I have used the sketch over at Friday Sketchers challenge to showcase my newest image.
I drew this a few weeks ago but this is the first time I've actually used it and it is one of my new stamp designs. For details see apassionforstamps .

The image is quite busy so I've kept the background as simple as possible to show it off.I have used my trusty Promarkers and Martha Stewart border doily punch against Papermania Regency paper and a Best Wishes stamp repeated along the border.

Sketch Saturday

Back again so soon!!
This time I've used "Jenny at the beach" from my new stamp collection for the Sketch Saturday challenge. The sketch is great and one I'll definitely be using again and again.
I've coloured the image with Promarkers and highlighted the bucket and spade with Glossy Accents.
You can check out apasionforstamps in the next few days for news of my new stamp collection!

Colour Create

I've been trying to get some free time to make samples of my new stamp designs in between enjoying the beautiful scenery of Northern Ireland this week.
I'll add some photos taken during the week when I get time.Yesterday we watched some filming by Universal of "Your Highness" at Dunluce Castle.

This time I've used Mina's colour choice of blue and white for the Colour Create challenge as it suited this image which I've used for a baby boy card.
What I've used;
Image.........my own drawing(ready very soon as a stamp)
coloured with Promarkers
Papers.......a download which I can't remember the name of as I cut it up!

I've kept it quite simple and just added a little glitter and a few gems.

I'm off now to make some more......

Passion for Promarkers meets Friday Sketchers

The colours for week 8 at Passion for Promarkers challenge are ruby and gold.I normally associate these colours with Christmas cards but as I'm still making up samples of my new stamp designs,Christmas will have to wait!
The sketch over at Friday Sketchers is ideal for this shape of image so I've used the same one as yesterday again,

I've used
Image...........my own (coming soon as a stamp)
Ruby and gold Promarkers
Martha Stewart Doily Punch
White flower peel offs with gem centre
Paper..........free with a mag a while ago

Colour Create

Colour Create is "under new management" and has been changed to a fortnightly challenge so I should be able to make it on time ....
I've been really busy sorting out my images to make into stamps to sell and I'm almost ready to roll!
I'm getting lots of sample cards made up to show the images and this is one of them.
You will be able to find the info on apassionforstamps.blogspot.com soon along with a gallery.

I've used Promarkers to achieve the Colour Create colours (grass green, apple green, sunflower, lemon and white)
I've also added Glossy Accents to highlight the shoes, handbag and necklace.
My Martha Stewart punch has bee hard at work, too!
I'm afraid I haven't managed to decorate the inside as it took so long to do the outside!

Truly Scrumptious

I haven't managed to fit in a card for the Truly Scrumptious challenge for a while but I really liked the look of this week's sketch. The card not only has to follow the sketch but only use black and white plus one other colour.
Yesterday we went to plan some renovation work in a shop which is changing from a craft shop to a picture framing business and while I was there I felt like a child in a sweet shop!! Anyhow I got a beautiful big Woodware punch and I've used it here.
The papers are DCWV ,Black and white
Image.........Jenny and puppy,drawn by myself
Flower........Woodware punch with edges done with Martha Stewart punch
Gems..........Jewellery seal
Ribbon .......oops! I can't remember!

Passion for Promarkers

Another Passion for Promarkers challenge. This week's colours(cocoa and cornflower) were chosen by Debbi and had the added extra of a sketch.
How easy is that to follow?
I thought I'd use the image I drew for the tutorial again but this time I added a little detail on the clothes.
The paper was sent to me in a swap with a fellow Docrafter and all the other bits and bobs were in a little box which I never seem to put away.

Promarker challenge

My new Promarkers have just arrived from Joanna Sheene so I was able to get on with this week's Passion for Promarker challenge. The DT over there certainly give me inspiration when I'm putting these colours together each week, you should have a look!

I've used an image I drew a while ago of strawberry jam and a scone,
scallop circles,Nestabilities
Paper clip..Tesco
paper....Papermania Regency collection
I thought the gingham ribbon from my stash suited, too.
Enjoy!

I thought I'd add a couple of photos taken this week.
The first was taken at a wedding on Monday and my two sons are the ones in the middle of the photo.
The next is my husband,David, and me and was taken in Bangor,Co.Down on Tuesday
